Reviews on Asian food in Grand Baie, Riviere du Rempart District, Mauritius. With lively restaurants, white-sand beaches, ever-expanding resorts and a natural harbor, Grand Baie is fertile tourist ground. Located on the northwest coast of Mauritius, its fashion and craft shops appeal to landlubbers, while swimming, sailing and windsurfing enthusiasts frolic in the emerald Indian Ocean. Glass-bottom boat trips provide a window on the underwater world, but for a one-of-a-kind experience, board a two-person submarine and cruise beneath the surface with the tropical fish.

We came here on the recommendation of friends and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We received a complimentary chai tea at the end of our meal which finished it off perfectly. We had some hit and miss service in Mauritius but this place was terrific.

Had lunch with my wife and ordered quite a few dishes, samaai was nice, stuffed Chinese mushrooms and Hakow was good, prawn balls were a disappointment, batter to thick, tofu very creamy. Crab was excellent, other three dishes all very similar in taste. Overall a nice meal.

Nothing has unfortunately changed since the last time we went there 2 years ago.Horrendous service. Uninterested waiters. Lots of people were unattended and were not impressed. A few items on the menu not available. All drinks were hot and no ice available. The owners dont care either as due to the location (the only plus), they will attract customers anyway so why bother. Avoid.

A great ethnic Indian restaurant esteemed by the well healed local population. Good food, attentive service and reasonably priced. (mutton)
Brilliant atmosphere, amazing servers. The staff is very friendly and gives you the right advice on food. They know when to give you space also...The fish and mutton curry were mouth watering. All Indian staff makes it really authentic. No loud music, so we can hear each other out well. They have good options for vegetarians also..infact kadhi pakoda won over chicken last night!

Completely renewed, cosy and bright restaurant. Dining room with fans, and a nice garden are available at your convenience. Our bar will offer you a choice of french wines, home made punch with a mauritian touch, local beer and imported ones and soft drink
Probably the cleanest restaurant in Grand Baie, prepared with the freshest local produce. One cannot fault anything in this lovely restaurant, we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit here and will definitely be back to savour the tasty and beautifully presented Asian dishes. The Dim Sum was as good as we have eaten in Hong Kong. Open Tuesday through Saturday. The Rum with passion fruit (a 3 month own infusion) was really good. Next time weâll try the Shabu. We felt so much at home. On a quiet residential street just two back from the main road but still easy to get to. Many thanks for the wonderful evening. Many thanks for taking the time to write your appreciation.Likewise it was a pleasure for me and my team meeting you and sharing so many travellers little stories. It is always so interesting to meet people who travel all over the world and to have intelligent and interesting conversations about food and drinks and other cultures and knowledge.Looking forward to welcome you againCheersG.Li

Such a budget friendly little hidden gem! They do take away and their noodles are great but definitely come here for the boulette as that is for sure their speciality. Just off sunset boulevard so very conveniently located and tucked away so the throngs miss it and the wise find it! Enjoy!
