A friend and I decided to catch up in Glenelg for lunch.I chose Indochine as I felt like noodles:The fried chicken wings as entre were good piping hot and freshly cooked.Friend ordered seafood Laksa which was a sweet tomatoe broth with a few bits of prawns and seafood. It did have a little coconut milk /cream but was a sad substitute for an authentic Laksa.I ordered Char Kwai Tau normally a dish of Wok fried flat noodles with Chinese sausage , green vegetable, spring onion egg and chilli.I was served what appeared to be mushy heinz canned noodles in a tomatoe sauce!I took one bite and sent the dish back as inedibleThey asked if I wanted something else? I should have had something else as the second plate was the same sad tomatoe sauce the noodles just as mushy. No one asked why we left our food. I paid reluctantly and advise to eat anywhere in Glenelg but not here BAD FOOD IS ALWAYS TOO EXPENSIVE!

Hidden little treasure. I have been to this friendly cosy delicious restaurant a few times. Big menu with alcohol if you like. Big tv, nuce atmosphere. Not fancy dinning, table service though. If your hungry and on a budget down the bay, you will not be disappointed.Thank you very much for the lovely review and thank you for coming. We hope to service you again next time you visit Glenelg.Have a nice day.Coco House Cafe

Back to top form last night. Phil is back and everything is perfect again. Service ran smoothly and happy faces everywhere. Yin was also wonderfully inviting. The crab/sweet corn soup perfect, the prawn cocktail perfect. We followed with shanghai steak. This was slightly spicy, tender strips of steak served on a bed of beanshoots on a hot plate, delicious. Large spicy prawns on a hot plate served over onions. This dish is superb but not spicy as in hot but wonderful. We had fried rice and Fong did say the rice was different as their usual rice was unavailable. Yes Fong you were right the rice was different in texture but still really flavoursome. We also got takeaway for in the week which consisted of rice, Singapore Chilli Steak and of course the wonderful Hot and Sour soup.Service tick! Food tick!! Atmosphere tick !!!Must go to restaurant whilst visiting Glenelg.

We chose after reading tripadvisor. Struggled to find it.We sat down after peak time on a saturday evening. Service was pleasant and environment OK. But we were both disappointed with meal. I suspect some short cuts are happening. Would not return.

Really enjoyed the sushi - not one dish we didn't enjoy! Could have done with a bit more choice on the train, but large menu to choose from too. Booths could also do with being higher as it's difficult to see the food. Friendly staff and reasonable price. Would definitely revisit!

My partner and I booked in for a degustation meal on our last day of iur trip in Adelaide. It was an absolute amazing experience. We were looked after by Abhi who was on point with his service. We truly felt special and had a 5 star experience. Definitely something worth checking out. Will definitely recommend it to others.

Went there off the cuff on a Saturday night. The place was buzzing and after a lengthy wait we were eventually seated. This seemed to be the order of the night, lengthy waits and poor service. The food was the winner of the night, tasty dishes but not sure the Phuket is worth it.

We booked the back room out for a family birthday dinner for 23 people and had a wonderful night. The room was cosy with candles on the tables and all requests were met with ease. We pre-ordered entrees which came out at exactly the right time with our guests then ordering their own main course. BYO is very reasonable and allows for some independence when it comes to serving wine. The salt and pepper squid is delish, always tender and tasty. The chicken satays are really good as they use chicken thigh and make their own gluten free peanut sauce. In fact everything is gluten free except for the spring rolls and curry puffs, as you would expect.Great food and warm, friendly service where nothing is too much trouble. Thanks Sabai for a fantastic night.Thank you for you very kind review!Your group was very easy to manage and that made our service so much easier. We enjoyed the night just as much as you did! :)Kindest regardsSabai :)

Buzzy Saturday evening with out-of-towners enjoying well executed Viet-Chinese classics with a drink or two, adapted for the market. Don't expect too much chili, Vietnamese herbs and spices, but they do have authentic Vietnamese coffee. Lighter style of food is a welcome point of difference from the pizza-pasta-burgers-thai and everything-with-chips dominating the beachside strip. Service is extremely friendly fast and welcoming. Will be back.

This was not a very good restaurant. The service was very average with one of the waiters spending most of his time watching a football match on the television, even when taking orders. The staff had to be called over for everything from getting water to replenishing drinks. The place is very noisy and so conversations at one end of the table were just not able to be heard at the other. As for the food - well the grilled lamb was good but not just well matched at all to coleslaw. And it took over an hour for the meals to arrive! It was generally not a good experience and so it is difficult to match this with other very positive reviews - clearly it is a bit hit or miss, and unfortunately we missed.I am sorry you didn't enjoy your experience at The Mediterranean as we pride ourselves on good food and service. Can you please get in touch with me so I can take it further and properly train my staff. We would like you to give us another go as that is not what The Mediterranean is about.Chris
