We went to this place after reading good reviews but left without eating and very disappointed. Due to allergies it was clearly explained to the person taking the order that there were things that we did not want on our food specifically mayonnaise. However as we sat waiting , the person preparing the food lifted up a bottle full of mayonnaise and liberally applied it to our meals. When challenged we did not get an acknowledgment that a mistake had been made and they would either remove the mayonnaise or prepare fresh meals , instead we were told that âit was too late , it has already been applied!!â. We simply walked out. In todayâs world if a restaurant is told someone does not want something on their food surely it is not too much to have this respected. If we had not seen the individual apply the mayonnaise we could have started eating the food and became ill.

Good food. Good value. Always consistent....three good reasons to come back again and again. We have been here many times and always the place is busy and our favourite table outside is invariably unavailable!!! The guy who runs this local family business isn't always the happiest on the outside and I think his stress is just about the number of customers he is trying to keep satisfied with great food every time. Good value too with two starters, a main to share with rice and a decent bottle of house red for â¬30....and usually a little caramel schnapps to follow....we love it and make a special effort just to visit this place everytime we are in fuengirola.

Food was delicious. We had chicken pakora to start which was very tasty (tiny portion though) and then Butter Chicken and Chicken Madras, we shared a rice and naan bread which was enough for 2. Our young kids had chips and fish fingers which was a huge portion. The food was really tasty and the service was great. The staff were lovely and chatty, very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you have that need for a good curry when you're away.

Teppanyaki cooking show, cocina en vivo, gran variedades de sushi , Maki, nigiri y sashimi The most original and amazing Japanese restaurant in Fuengirola, Málaga (Costa del Sol), specialized in Sushi and Teppanyaki (Cooking Show)
We visited here following a recommendation from family back home in England and we were glad they suggested it. The restaurant was a fair distance from where we stayed so we got a taxi which was fine. Service was a little slow to start with, we didnât get drinks for a fair amount of time and there was no drinks menu which I find is useful especially is people are tourists. Menu choice was good and I had sushi as well as Teppanyaki tuna. The place was very empty for a Saturday night, we thought itâd be really busy, consequently there wasnât much happening on the hot plate which is where the chefs put on a little show for you if you are sat around it (request this as it is great). Luckily my main was one that was cooked on here so we did get to see some action from the chef. Was one of our more expensive meals out during our holiday but happy to pay for freshly cooked tasty food.

We are a small family restaurant of relaxed atmosphere, where you can try new flavors. We do not make complicated dishes, we only use simple ingredients and Japanese traditional recipes made with love at the moment. Come and enjoy a different food.
Having sampled the delights of Japanese cuisine in the UK we were pleased to have reviewed and found Akabeko. We are fans of Ramen so my choice was the âAkaveko Ramemâ and my good lady had the breaded chicken on cabbage and rice with a Japanese barbecue sauce, not forgetting our starters dumplings and the spicy flavorsome chicken wings were a finger licking winner. All washed down with traditional local beers. We loved the Akabeko dining experience a big thank you to David for his help and guiding us through the menu .Good luck to the management and team âAkabekoâ for 2019 .

I actually wanted to write this review before I'd even finished my meal. Lovely complimentary Thai crackers and dips. Followed by an exquisite chicken masaman extra spicy, and coconut rice. All was perfect and exactly what I expected. Even the glass of house white was nice. Service very friendly and professional. I could not fault it. Please come and try. You won't be disappointed.
