Welcome to Saffron Spice Ferndown Your local indian takeaway restaurant in Ferndown, Bournemouth.
This is the second time weâve eaten from this renamed takeaway which we also understand is under new ownership. It is certainly light years away from the dreadful place that preceded it. The food was delicious and fresh- would thoroughly recommend

Reserved a table here on a Saturday night after reading the reviews on TA.Staff were lovely, all the food was delicious (cooked/made to order), and the place was very busy (which speaks for itself).Itâs quirky inside, but really enjoyed our meal out. Would recommend.

We visit Yobu on a regular basis for the amazing frozen yoghurt. The staff are always really friendly. I have not personally tried the bubble tea but my niece loves it!! If you have a reward card you can earn points for free food/drinks too.

Disappointed with Rimjhim, after 2 different friends recommending this restaurant as being superb, 4 of us decided to give the restaurant a try and our expectations were high. Unfortunately the expectation fell pretty much as soon as we walked in, the staff member that greeted us was dressed very casually in a jumper which did not look that professional. He showed us to the table but did not offer to take our coats, we had to leave these on our chairs. We chose drinks of g&t and beers. The two g&tâs arrived in tall tumblers and were served with no ice, they tasted a bit weak. I asked the waiter if we could have ice in them, but he just took my one drink away and bought it back with ice, he obviously did not realise that we both wanted ice my friend tried to ask him to put ice in hers as well, but he had already disappeared. We ordered the food and the starters were served, this was quite a while after we sat down. At this point not a major issue, we were all chatting and time was passing quite quickly. The starters of chilli pork, chilli chicken and lamb dumplings were fine, the pork was a little tough but all quite tasty. We continued to wait for our mains and I suddenly realised that it had been one and a half hours since we had sat down, quite a wait for our food. It was busy in the restaurant, but perhaps it would have been nice if one of the staff had apologised for the long wait time? The mains arrived, my dish of tandoori rack of lamb was presented well and was very good, the presentation of the other three mains was not great, simply plated up in a bowl with no attempt to dress the dish with anything, they looked very plain. Of these dishes, the Kathmandu lamb was supposed to be hot but it was quite mild with not a lot of flavour. The Acari lamb was also quite mild but did have more flavour, it was voted the better of the two lamb mains. The final main of Malai duck was fine but a bit on the tough side. All in all, the staff not presenting the service that professionally, the drink issue and the long wait combined to make this a less than enjoyable experience. Unfortunately we did not feel that the quality of the food was good enough to make us want to give it a second try, so we will not be returning.

Have visited this little gem now a couple of times, and each time the service is brilliant: very friendly, polite and welcoming. The food is lovely, freshly cooked and generous. The restaurant might look a bit too bright due to the light and could look a bit more atmospheric, but don't let that put you off: thanks to the food and service this is easily forgotten. We'll be coming back again (and again!) soon!

I went to get a takeaway and it was most definitely restaurant quality. Very happy given that most local chinese takeouts are worse than average. This is very good and extremely nice chinese food. Good service, friendly and good food. Very quick if you collect.

Having grown up in Leicester (home of the curry) this is my go to curry house Dorset. Depth and flavours are all there - great friendly service always. For a mild curry (wife type) try a chicken tak-a-tak. For a strong curry (husband type) then the garlic chilli chicken hits the spot.

We decided to have a takeaway meal to help celebrate a family birthday. We phoned our order through and stated a time for delivery. We were given our slot and prepared to take delivery. It didn"t matter to us but food came 45 minutes early- could have been a problem if some guests had not arrived at that time. The food was excellent, most of us choosing different dishes to somebody else. It was tasty and hot and reasonably priced too.We would certainly use them again.

It's great to see Alam back in Ferndown. For four years we had to drive to Woodlands to experience Alam's great cuisine. Four of us had a celebratory meal here and I know Alam at Cinnamon never disappoints. Good flavoursome food beautifully presented with a service second to none. Where else could you have a birthday cake served by the owner singing "Happy Birthday to you" (in tune too ! ) We will be coming back for sure to where we know is the best Indian food around.
