Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Fairbanks. Its far north location means Fairbanks gets the midnight sun in the summer and the northern lights during Aurora Season (August to April). These wonders define the city, along with winter activities, the gold rush past, Alaska Native heritage, a vibrant arts scene and “golden heart” hospitality. Enjoy dog mushing, panning for gold, floating the Chena River or visiting a museum. Add a nearby trip to a hot springs, Denali, the Arctic or the Interior. Fairbanks is the gateway to discovering Alaska.

Fairbanks offers some surprising dining options for a town of its size and remote location -- Tiparos Thai food is one of them. We were traveling as a family of 5 adults and since we all like Thai food, we stopped in Tiparos. Were we ever glad we did. The food was fantastic, and the service was quick and very friendly. Each of us had a different dish and all were delicious -- and the quantity of the servings was very generous. Highly recommend.... in fact, if these folks ever get tired of the winter cold in Fairbanks, they would be most welcome (and successful) in my hometown ;>)

Our visit to the Pad Thai Restaurant, located at 3400 College Road, almost to University Avenue, here in Fairbanks, Alaska, was, at best, a mixed-review. It borders on being a sweet-little-place, to a bit-of-a-mess. Parking is somewhat limited in the back. The outdoor seating area for nice weather alongside of the main building is, to put it mildy, more than a tad cluttered. The food. Now we are at the nubbin of this review. Food? We wanted to sit inside and eat. We did not want a take-out order. Our party of four were not able to get any food to enjoy within the restaurant. The rest of the story. We are staying at Billie's Backpackers Hostel just up College Road from the Pad Thai Restaurant. We heard great things here at Billie's about it so off we went. We got there at (count them here) eight minutes past 9PM (9:08PM). Got it? The sign (I have a photo of it attached) showing their hours indicates they are open until 9:30PM. We were told " We close at 9:30PM." and were not served.Go figure. So if you want to eat here, if you woulld like to dine-in, I suggest that you go early.

It's listed on Urbanspoon now, but they don't have a webpage.
Staff are very nice and friendly. Even the bathroom is well maintained and very clean. Food is fresh, and decent taste...saying that, it is not authentic sushi place though. But if you are looking for a relaxing place to get somewhat Asian food, it is good enough.

The Noodle House Drunken Noodles is fabulous. It is my favorite Thai dish and I eat it at all the Thai Restaurants! The Noodle House has big thick homemade rice noodles in this dish with lots of vegetables and I always get tofu. It is a bit hidden downtown, but easy to walk to.

A nice spot in the shopping center. (gps is useless - the restaurant is in the shopping center) Food is good, quite an assortment to choose from. Portions (at least in bento boxes) was more than adequate.

I've been to these Japanese style Hibachi restaurants all over the US and the one here in Fairbanks can hold it's own! The show is always cool but this place has really good food and the value for the $ in Fairbanks is incredible!

Pho House is a delicious authentic vietnamese restaurant. It appears to be a family owned and run business, and that added to the fun of the experience. It was a cold evening in Late February, and the pho was the perfect antidote.

Had lunch here last week while visiting in Fairbanks. The food tasted incredible. The pricing was quite reasonable, and especially so given the typically higher prices in Alaska. The serving staff was extremely attentive. The decor added to the experience. I'd definitely eat here again.

Iâd read the reviews on Trip advisor &though it would be good. Big disappointment, food was over cooked and tasteless. Pad Thai overly greasy, service reasonable, atmosphere busy. I donât understand how this place gets the ratings it does. I hate writing poor reviews.

Wow!! Exceptional authentic Thai cuisine. Best Pad Athai Ive had in 15 years and Ive had many in that time. Fabulous cucumber dipping sauce. Brown rice was a pleasant but unexpected option. Service was super greatful, attentive and friendly. This is THE place to go even if you have to wait patiently for a table and worth every cent.
