It is situated at the confluence of the Mississippi and Elk Rivers. The population was 22,974 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat. The city's population exceeded 20,000 as of year 2005. U.S. Highways 10 and 169 and State Highway 101 are three of the main routes in Elk River, and a station on the Northstar Commuter Rail line to downtown Minneapolis is located in the city. Elk River is located 33.2 miles northwest of Minneapolis and 37.4 miles southeast of St. Cloud.

The kitchen combos are excellent choices for lunch. You get a wide assortment of food in a nicely decorated box with rice, California rolls and the entree selection of your choice for only $9. We tried both the chicken and beef teriyaki several times and i recently had the tempura - all excellent choices. This is the best Japanese restaurant in Elk River and the region. I lived in Japan for three years and found Hajime very authentic Japanese food.

I frequent this place a couple times a week.Food is always fresh and cooked to order,as I see the kitchen plainly.Eat in or take out its fabulous.The Tuscan Fresca with Fedda cheese is my favorite.They also serve wine.And they are open until 10pm.If your eating in just sit after ordering and they bring the food to you.

Much Much better experience than the Rogers, Minnesota! I had ordered the Pad Thai and despite the taste being a little sweeter than back in Chicago. The noodles were unique texture tasting wise. Service was fast and very friendly. Chicken Satay was delicious too!! Do come here! Improvement than the Rogers, Minnesota location. Hope you get Paris as your server.
