The service was very good and we had a good choice of Asian dishes. The food was a little disappointing both in volume and quality. The rice was dry and luckily I ordered roti as an extra.Drinks are moderately priced and venue is cool and comfortable.Certainly not the best Thai food I've experienced in Edenvale.

My wife and I are very fond of Thai food and have visited quite a few. My starter of seafood soup had one prawn, one mussel, one piece of fish and one piece of calamari, the rest was mushrooms. Tasty but not enough seafood. My wife had Coconut Chicken soup which was very good with plenty chicken. My main course was Stir Fry Red Curry. The beef was tough as old boots! But it was very tasty. Side order of noodles were rubbery. My wife's Chicken Phad Thai was not up to the standard elsewhere. We were at one of only 3 tables occupied on a Saturday night at 8pm! And they claim to have been voted the best Thai restaurant in Joburg - well, all I can say is their customers must be easily pleased.

Saengcha means "sunshine", and is the family's hereditary name. This is a restaurant for families, owned by a family, with a passion for food.
The small Thai restaurant was amazingly quiet when we visited it for a Sunday lunch meal, yet the meal was exceptional, even though the curries were slightly different from most I had before... a bit less Thai maybe, but very nice... maybe the kitchen staff has become more of African origin than Thai. The satay we had as an appetizer, had a great peanut sauce, while the serving of the main dishes we abundant. We even had some dessert and, while there were some Thai choices like lychee and sticky rice, we enjoyed the quality choices that were typical western. All together, well worth the mid-range price we were charged, especially together with the excellent service we received.

Founded in 2000, Yamitsuki introduced the concept of Japanese style cuisine, presented to customers via a unique conveyor belt system. The experience was fun and exciting while the food was revolutionary. Yamitsuki became a market leader in sushi restaura
This restaurant came highly recommended by a few friends and I decided to try it out. Ordered a take away of the chicken noodles and some sushi. The sushi was average and the chicken noodles were completely burnt. Waste of time and money. Deffinately not worth the drive there or the money spent.
