Reviews on Asian food in Durango, Colorado, United States. Once a frontier mining town, Durango draws thousands of tourists year-round for the myriad outdoor recreational activities and scenic beauty. Mountain bikers, rafters, kayakers, horseback riders, rock climbers, hikers, campers, hunters and fishermen are drawn to the two-million acre San Juan National Forest and to the San Juan mountains, the largest range in the Rockies. But the city's biggest tourist draw is a nine-hour historic train ride in a vintage steam locomotive. The Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, which hauled precious metals in the 1880s, now takes tourists for a 47-mile, open-air journey through mountains and forests and past abandoned mines to historic Silverton and back. Children and train buffs will relish the chance to climb into a locomotive and pore over railroad memorabilia at the railroad's museum. Skiers flock to the Durango Mountain Resort in winter, which also offers hiking, fishing, rafting and horseback riding in warmer months. Slow down your pace with a stroll past splendidly restored Victorian buildings in historic Downtown Durango and wind up a very active weekend in a local brewpub or saloon.

We ordered out and were very presently surprised at how good the food was. I've grown accustomed to "spice" food being rather bland, but this was the exception. The twice cooked pork was spicy, well prepared, reminding me dishes eaten in NYC and SF. We will be back.

It can go as spicy or as mild as you like, the portions are huge, and very reasonably priced. I've been ordering take-out here for years, and I can tell you that if they delivered I would probably never go out for dinner again!

Urban Japanese restaurant with a wide variety of small items, innovative sushi, sashimi fusion plates & traditional ramen. HAPPY HOUR STARTS AT 4:30 EVERDAY!!
We were told about a really good Japanese restaurant in Durango and we found it!!!The food is really fresh and phantastic. One of the best Japanese dining experiences ever! The atmosphere is young, a bit different from a usual Japanese restaurant as it has more the format of a sports bar. Definitely a great find !

Marianas is a great little food truck/trailer that you can visit while hiking or biking the Animas River trail. I'm Indonesian, so I can honestly say the food was authentic. It's a bit hard to find, but her trailer is bright yellow, so you can spot it. She doesn't have all food choices everyday. She makes stuff fresh, so you have to make the best of what she offers for the day. We had the Bakmi Goreng and the Gado Gado. Both were delicious. I recommend making a stop to get a taste of Indonesia.

This was our first time at the Mongolian Grill. Unfortunately we werenât all that impressed. The floors and tables were dirty which made me uncomfortable. They got my order wrong, I had asked for no chilies but the chilies were included so it had to be redone. All in all not a great experience.

Like most other reviewers, we found this restaurant to be a good choice. Not much to look at from the outside and décor is pretty spartan, but the menu was varied and the dishes did not disappoint. Good value too. If you want a quickie Thai meal, try out this place.

The people who own this restaurant were very welcoming and kind, but this place needs some work. The menus were dirty, the website said cocktails and gluten free options, the cocktails were really basic and the gluten free sauces were really bland. I had the regular and it was so salty that I could barely eat it. This is not good food, I can't recommend it.

A taste of the Far East in the heart of the Southwest. We create vibrant fusion cuisine rooted in the flavors of Japan & the Pacific Rim. We are proud to serve all organic meats & poultry, such as American Kobe, Kurobuta Pork, & Natural Black Angus Beef.
The Sushi was very good, but orders came to the table incorrectly, for 6 of us on our party was served individually over 40 MINUTES!!!!!! Food was good, horrible service!!!!!We humbly apologize for the service issues . We have a significant number of new servers on the floor that are just getting their feet under them . Our menu is extensive and the training is ongoing . we will be sharing your feed back with the staff and use it as a learning tool to improve. thank you for your patronage

Having been travelling around the US for a number of weeks it was good to find a restaurant offering something different. The menu is a mix of Nepalese, Tibetan and Indian and even features Yak!We went for two of the Nepalese specialties and both were very good and generous portions. However, we asked for spice level 2 out of 5 and they were way too hot for us - and we regularly eat spicy food.Service was very good and they bought us out some complimentary cooling yoghurt mix to stir into our dishes to reduce the hotness, thank goodness. We also had a garlic Nan and a portion of lamb momos to share as an entree. Both were excellent.
