I love this place. But when I came here with my friend on a Tuesday around 12:30 I was amazed at how awful it was! The food it self was great, but everything was terrible. First they sat us and it took our waiter 20 minutes to ask us why we wanted to drink so by that time we were read to order. We order our food and our server does not give us soup or salad with our meals. An hour later, after people who came later than us got our food, I finally get one of my meals. Maybe 10 or 15 minutes later we both get our sushi. The waiter then didnât split anyoneâs checks in the restaurant and we asked if our could be separated and she gave us an attitude about it. I havenât been back since.

After having driven by this place uncountable times over the last 40 years, a friend mentioned to me that they served a good sampling of Korean food which he ate regularly. I tried kimchi back when I lived in Los Angeles and did not enjoy it.[But it turns out there are all different kinds of kimchi flavoring.] I figured it was time to try out the cuisine again so I had the sampler plate and enjoyed it. The nori-wrapped onigiri (rice roll) did not appeal to me but I loved the beef, noodles and spinach and rice. My friend was a regular who was well known to our server and got the royal treatment. But so did every one else. Some Korean people were there too. The sampler was about thirteen dollars and I had a beer so with tip my tab came to twenty dollars. I had a good dining experience.
It was my birthday and we wanted to try someplace new. We should have proceeded with caution when we saw that there were only two other people dining when we arrived at dinner rush time. We told the server it was our first time there and she explained the concept -- you choose your veggies, noodles, meat, and sauce from the buffet line and the chef will cook it for you. She warned us that the chef speaks very little English and won't be able to answer questions. I asked about the sauces and she said the "special" sauce was sweet and the "house" sauce was a little spicier. We all fixed our bowls and our food arrived. My family dove into theirs and was happily eating, but mine was incredibly salty. No one else at the table noticed that theirs was salty. I tasted my daughter's, who had the same sauce, and hers was not salty. So something was definitely wrong with mine. I had drained my entire drink glass because of the saltiness and was waiting for the server to come check on us. She didn't come. And didn't come. And the young woman working the cash register was busy chatting with a friend at the bar and texting on her phone and we couldn't get her attention. Finally my husband flagged down the server and told her about my food. Her response was that it shouldn't be salty and she asked if I had added soy sauce. (No, I hadn't.) She stood there looking a bit perplexed for a bit and then said since it was all you can eat, I could just go up and order another plate of food. By then my family was done eating and I didn't want to eat alone, so I declined to do that. My husband asked her if she could at least refill my drink glass, which she did. They made no offer to comp the meal and no apologies for it being extremely salty. Aside from that, the restaurant seemed to be lacking in cleanliness. It wasn't filthy, but our table was sticky and streaked. The restroom was out of tissue when my daughter used it. And there was no excuse for the slow/inattentive service when there were only two other diners in the establishment.
