This restaurant is a classic. The hot and sour soup is up to expectations. A lot of seasoning, tofu and pepper. The Wan Fu Chicken is a chicken in a spicy brown sauce with vegetables. The portions are large. My wife liked the sweet and sour shrimp. The sweet & sour chicken my son ordered had a true homemade sauce.

I have frequented this place many times in the past. This ends with my recent visit. I ordered crispy sesame chicken. The sauce was so sweet, it was inedible!!! It was swimming on the plate and contaminated the fried rice. The crab rangoon was so over cooked, it was too hard to even chew. It was hard and dark brown and very small. I don't know why they would even serve it on a plate! The crunch noodles on the table were also dark and hard, unlike the tender lightly cooked ones in the past. If you go, beware and order cautiously. And if they serve this inferior food, send it back!!!!

Come by your local Noodles & Company at 13307 Manchester Road, , Des Peres where its globally inspired dishes including noodles, soups and salads, come together to create a World Kitchen.
I guess the #1 reason we love this place is because we always know how many calories we are consuming. The small orders are large enough for most folks. I also like that there are plenty of vegetarian options and their tofu is cooked properly as well. My son likes the mac n cheese, I usually get one of the Asian noodle options and my hubby usually gets one of the Italian options. Their tomato soup is awesome as is their naan style bread. I also enjoy their tropical iced tea. We eat there about once per week! My only comment is do NOT order extra veggies, as they charge you .75 per veggie you add and that may mean 2 small pieces of broccoli - not worth it.

This place is more crowded than ever now due to recent positive publicity in the St. Louis paper and the publicity is warranted. The sushi and other items remain truly outstanding. The gyoza fried dumpling appetizer is simply delicious. The California roll is also the best I've had and that includes places in Hawaii. The spicy version of the California roll with spicy crab is equally amazing and is really spicy. So, food quality is five stars and service is equally worthy. Tried chutoro for the first time, a slightly less fatty version of Otoro (fatty tuna) and it was totally worth the $7, simply amazingly delicious. Notwithstanding all this excellence, my wife and I were able to have the Chutoro, the gyoza appetizer, the 2 crab rolls and a large beer for $45 before tip which considering the quality, is fabulous value. You really do need to make reservations now because the place was absolutely packed as early as 5:30 on a Friday and last Saturday we were turned away because we had no reservation. Best sushi I've had in St. Louis bar none although I am still willing to try other places. The atmosphere is pleasant and Japanese although not plush. I'd rather it not be plush so they can keep their prices where they are. Amazing place. If you like sushi and sashimi, this is your place.
