I usually have breakfast there. Nice environment with fine decoration. A variety of food flavors that you can choose, such traditional Chinese food, western continental breakfast choices, sushi,vegetarian, etc. for the fruit part, I like small green pears that I never saw in U.S. Crispy and sweet. They always provide some special dishes that I usually donât see in other hotel chain restaurant. Another appraise comes from the service. The attendants there always bring warm welcome to me while guiding me to the seat. They are trained to pay attention to the details. Clean table with the whole set of fine serve ware. Quickly removing the dirty plates. Was in Hangzhou on business... went with the team to find food on the lake... lots of restaurants and entertainment.Grandmaâs stood out... clean, nice decor and attentive staff. HOWEVER no English menu!! Selection by pictures commenced and we were not disappointed! Food, all cooked fresh, was delicious (apart from one thing which we have no idea what it was...!?) and Iâd recommend the aubergine dish and baked chicken! The meal for 5 of us (and we got a lot of food and two rounds of beers!!)... came to £40! Absolute bargain. One point to note... at the end of the selection choice, if the waiter stands there and points to a line at the bottom of the menu card...and wonât leave until you answer... he wants to know if you have any allergies!!!

I stay since two days st Hangzhou and searched for a nice place to have a relaxed dinner and a cigar. Recommendations at the internet, so I visited this restaurant for dinner, very excited whatâs to get here. I read the comments and expected an expensive experience. After arrival at 9pm, the restaurant was totally empty, I was the only guest, however, there was a nice welcome, I tried to stay. And, what should I say, it was an amazing evening. Extremely friendly personnel, a very tasty and beautiful menu, the salmon was perfect. I tried a Chinese wine and was surprised. Beautiful. Finally I had a cigar at the terrace. The bill with finally 125EUR was less then I expected for the excellent quality and the very good service. This restaurant is highly recommended. I will come back.

The Noodle Bar is located in a strip of local restaurants along Zhujia Road a few hundred metres from its intersection with Jinjiada Road, and can be difficult to find. The approximate GPS coordinates are latitude 30.3394 and longitude 120.0878. I have also attached a photo to help find it.The food and atmosphere is truly local. The restaurant was recommended to us by a local person we know and we ate there for the 3 nights we stayed as we knew the food was safe to eat. On various nights we tried the beef noodle soup, shrimp noodle soup and the eel noodle soup. They also serve non soup dishes with just noodles. Some of the soups had pickled vegetable and most had local greens. The food is cooked very hot and is tasty and nutritious. The food was cooked quickly on a very hot wok burner, which we heard roar in the small kitchen. When we ordered different meals we got our them served individually within a few minutes of each other. One serve filled us. The cost of most dishes is between 12 and 18 Yuan.The owner, Li Jin, is a delightful young lady who speaks some limited English. Even though she studied English and Business at University, very few western people venture to the Yuhang District, which is about 12km north of Hangzhou CBD, so she was very keen to practice communicating with English. Don't expect meet any other non Chinese tourists here. The area here is growing rapidly and boasts a new western style shopping centre, Century Mart, located about 500m east from the Noodle Bar. There is also a Metro store (like Wal Mart) located on Jinjiadu Road, to the west of the restaurant, near the junction with Moganshan Road. Across the road from this is a huge new shopping centre and theatre complex called City Mall, which is nearing completion.Despite knowing virtually no Chinese language we managed to communicate with most people here with some limited help of Google translator and the calcuator on the phone, which all understood to press the numbers to indicate how much something would cost. We found all the locals to be friendly and helpful and overall it was a great experience staying at a local hotel and having a genuine taste of local life. I suggest you buy a Unicom 3g sim with 300 MB data for 1 month. We ordered one on line and had it expressed delivered to Australia to ensure that we got what we needed.
