We had dinner on our last night in Detroit over in the community of Corktown. In a nondescript building on Michigan Ave, was a very unique Thai Food Restaurant. Once you walk thru that large steel door, you know that youâre for a treat. We were seated at a community table with between two other couples, which provided for good conversation. Our waiter soon appeared and we ordered drinks and an appetizer which quickly showed up. We ordered our main courses with steamed rice. The entrees came out as they were prepared and everything we ordered was delicious. Some of the best Thai food we have had. Must get it a tryâ¦.

Our first course was chicken wings. Hard fried with an amazing sticky sauce. The papaya salad with bar b qued pork was lightly dressed and refreshing. Rib eye steak aged and delicious. Great wait staff. Very helpful and good service but not rushed. Hard to find as itâs got Coney Island signage! Parking limited.

Summary: My first time at this local Japanese restaurant. It also serves some Korean favorites so it's a bit of an East Asian mix. The food is very good, although not the best I have ever had. Service is also super fast which is good for those of us who seem to be in a perpetual hurry. The atmosphere reminds of a local restaurants in Tokyo, Osaka, or Kyoto. Great for a quick lunch or dinner. They are also reasonably priced which makes this a great value for what you get.

I lived in Singapore and have worked all over Asia for several years. Johnnyâs is the real thing, just like eating at the hawker centers in Asia. Great flavors, healthy options, incredible, happy service! You do have to appreciate authenticity in order to like this place. American Asian food it is not! Can not wait to go back!!

I was here last week and again this week. The food is fresh and excellent value for the money. While the place is small, the waiters/waitresses bring food pretty quickly. They have a small, different soup on different days at lunch time. I had the drunken noodles last week and curry noodles this week. Both were excellent. Lots of choice for vegetarians. They have several gluten free options as well. If you can't take the heat, order mild options. They can make any dish mild or medium or spicy.

My wife was treated by a friend and liked this Japanese Restaurant so much that she treated me to dinner. I had the Sashimi Salsa Chips, and we both had the Ocean Pleasure. I was pleasantly surprised, as I have seen this restaurant, at this location for several years, and not patronized it. The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was good. I will return and try other dishes, I saw many on the menu that interested me. I also had a seaweed soup that was very good. My only criticism of this restaurant is that they do not serve alcohol. I so love a good Cabernet with dinner.

Found this Corporate Store around the corner from my hotel while in need of a late lunch. I chose a Asian Chicken Caesar salad which was entree size, fresh and tasty. I give PF high marks for their interior design. They are consistently relaxing environments across all their stores. The food and service prompt and professional. They delivered.

Check out the fabulous food at the Bangkok 96 on Peterborough in Detroit. Located inside the Detroit Shipping Company, you can enjoy drinks, excellent food, art and good company. We had excellent veggie dumplings and spring rolls. In our party of 8, everyone loved their dinner from Bangkok 96. Added bonus: they have actual sample platters on display so you know what youâre getting. A word of warning, the spicy is SPICY!
