Discover Restaurants offering the best Asian food in Cotonou, Littoral Department, Benin. Home to many diplomatic services and the largest population in the country, Cotonou is the de facto capital of Benin, although not the official one. Its location at the crossroads between numerous neighboring countries makes it a commercial hub, instrumental in opening trade to the African interior. From Cotonou travelers may depart for tours of the outlying regions. The nearby stilted village of Ganvie is a short day trip from the bustle of Boulevard St. Michel and the Dan Topka market.

When staying in Cotonou, I ate there numerous times. the service is excellent, the food exquisite. You can sit on a terrace/balcony away from the noise and smog, enjoy a draft beer and eat real good food. The menu is good and quite extensive. However, some of the seafood is not always available. The staff is polite, attentive and efficient. One of my favourites in Cotonou. it also is very conveniently located. I will definitely come again.

I am married to a beninese lady and I have been going to cotonou from london for a long time. Been to DB few times before. It gets worse instead of getting better. Like this:a) at the door few receptionists talk between themselves and hardly say good morningb) there is a hand sanitiser dispenser that dispenses nothing, being empty. we went twice in 4 days. still emptyc) the pool's water wasn't blue. it was green. thinking of swimming there or having kids swimming there it takes gutsd) the beach side is ok. service is almost non existant, in tipycal beninese style. if you venture into any restaurant you do it at your peril. clients are seen as a nuisance and service will portray such a behavioure) finally having drawn the waiter's attention a guy comes to us with two menus. we ask for one thing on it. they dont have. a second. dont have. a third. nada. we ask for coffee. not sure they have it either. we tell him, in french and fon to maybe ask the kitchen WHAT they do have so to avoid having to go through the whole menu. yes he says, i will come back. after 10' another young waitress cones our merry way. can i take your order she says??in the end we went for a coffee, found, and two portions of french fries. fries were served with no ketchup!! cause they dont have ketchup!we decided to let go and let god.we then paid, a lot for such a horrible establishment, and left.by then the pool wasn't green any more but some sort of maroon, with kids in it. oblivious to the impending death soon to hit them.and this is one of the top spots in cotonu. i leave to your imagination the rest.SYAY AWAY. mr talon, the new president wants to revamp benin's tourist industry.ahahahaha sure. good luck!Hello sir,First of all, we would like to extend to you and your family our best wishes for the year 2017.On behalf of all the management of Dream Beach, I thank you for taking the trouble to draw our attention to this unfortunate experience. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we would like to assure you that we take the well-being and satisfaction of each of our customers to heart. I came here twice during my stay in Cotonou and really enjoyed my meals. They have a large selection of vegetarian foods which is super appreciated. I had two different curries and two different soups and loved all of them. The ambiance is also nice with a somewhat loud but cute waterfall scene. I donât speak french-at all- but enjoyed it. The service...well customer service isnât a thing here so I canât really judge them for something that doesnât exist in general.

one of about two Indian restaurants in Cotonou... past a Ministry/government building
Looking for a change from our hotel's standard buffet dinner, we ventured by cab to a nearby Indian restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meal, given that Cotonou is not quite a tourist destination! I had the Rogan Josh lamb curry, one of my standards .. and it was as good quality as you would find in any other location. Service was very friendly and helpful, and speedy. And the cost very reasonable. We went back on our last evening in Cotonou, and were not disappointed.
