In the historic Roman town Cirencester, the Indian Rasoi is the perfect place to experience a mixture of traditional and contemporary Indian food in a relaxed, friendly and warm environment. An utterly characteristic interior with a relaxed welcoming feel
We chose Indian Rasoi, based on reviews, for our first meal on our visit to Cirencester - and were not disappointed. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Overall the meal was excellent, with the popadoms being the best ever. The flavour and âhotnessâ of the main course was just right and the taste didnât have the over sweetness to it that a lot of Indian restaurants use these days.I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

"At Sultan we pride ourselves on the friendliness of our service and the high quality of our food. Special Banquet Night every Wednesday £11.95".
Best curry house in the area. From the outside it doesnât look much (itâs up a flight of stairs above a shop) but weâve been coming here for years when we visit Cirencester and weâve never been disappointed. Good portion size, excellent flavouring, good service and good value for money. Will continue to visit when we can.

Ok......Where do I start. Nice 1970âs laid out restaurant.....Donât knock it!!Good menu, nice wine list.I had a salad to start which was soooooo overpriced. It should have been £8.95, not £12.95. At £8.95 they are still working on approximately an 800% markup......breed springs to mind! For main I had a duck dish with garlic rice, very good.So why have I only given a rating of two? Please beware, they are very underhanded at this restaurant. Please correct me if Iâm wrong, but I did look at the menu again as I left, but there was nowhere on the menu where it stated that there would be a 10% service charge added to the bill.I was a table for one, on a very quiet Tuesday night (two other people dining) and for them to have the audacity to add 10% certainly beggars belief. It gets worse!!...... The bill including the service charge came to £51.90, therefore the food and drinks cost around £47.20. To be fair I had already worked that out, and had £50 cash to give them, and this is exactly what I left. The waitress took the money, but then came straight back telling me I was £1.90 short!!!......UNBELIEVABLE BUT TRUE!! Needless to say, I wasnât happy. I explained that what I left was correct, so in a very sarcastic manner she said âso you donât want to pay the service charge?â correct I told her. So she then proceeded to give me £2.80 change!!!........The moral to this review is, greed ended up making them losers rather than winners.

We went here for takeaway as a treat on a Saturday night. Although more expensive than our local Indian in Cheltenham, this is usually such great quality food, we thought we'd treat ourselves! (This is our 3rd takeaway from Rajdoor). What a huge disappointment. The chicken jalfrazi was extremely dry, very little sauce, more like a few pieces of dry marinated chicken. Unfortunately, the plastic tubs the takeaway came in were only half full. The portion size was ridiculously small. The saag paneer had just 4 pieces of cheese in, again, a total rip-off, although highly delicious. We will not be getting take-away from here again. What a shame.

We cater for different taste of Oriental flavours'.
The location has hosted a Chinese restaurant for many years and a significant change in ownership some years ago precipitated a change in style. The establishment was relaunched as the Asia Lounge, I think, some 18 months ago and has been trading under that name, since. The food is generally good, although there does appear to be something of a 'chef's lottery' - very occasionally, the quality is not as good as normal.Service is friendly and generally efficient, the menu is fairly standard, mainly Cantonese, Chinese and is usually tasty. We generally make use of the takeaway service, which is fast and efficient.
