Nice and modest Japanese restaurant by the river. The menu was with pictures so it was easy to make the order as the staff spoke English very little. I have eaten here twice and will definitely do it again. Gyosas, sushi, okonimiyaki, asparagus have always been delicious.

Ginger's Cafe at the Intercontinental Hotel is one of our favorite places to go in Chongqing. It's pricey by Chinese standards, but you get your money's worth. The buffet is outstanding, with top-quality food and a HUGE assortment to choose from. The service is also the best in town, with lots of friendly, efficient, and attentive staff. The restaurant itself is well maintained, has nice decor and clean restrooms. I cannot recommend it highly enough ~ we go there for all our special occasions.

Like any person a little wary of hot spicy food including hot pots I was guarded when taken to Chongqing Cygnet restaurant to dine on Sichuan hot pot. Told it was uniquely flavoured with Sichuan Peppers which gave the dish a âmalaâ or numb and spicy taste, only heightened my apprehensiveness. Yes I tried it and soon realised that the hot spice was not for me nor my sensitive stomach. I had to dumb it down significantly but still the flavours were there full of spice yet not burning as it went down.

I arrived at the hotel around 10pm and wasn't exactly sure were I was.... the next morning I headed to the restaurant to find a complete range of western/asian goodies to devour. As I was working in the area I was glad to see that at least I will get a good breakfast. I would recommend the hotel to look at keeping there food a bit warmer or at least keep an eye on it and buy a new toaster as the old one was a bit hit'n miss. Taking a doggie bag to work every day for snack/lunch was a bonus.. Thank you.

This is one of the best ADD Restaurants I saw so far in China! The choice is huge and the quality is good! The Restaurant is located at the 52nd Floor of Westin Hotel. Besides the food you can enjoy a beautiful view over the city of Chongqing!

Absolutely love this hot pot restaurant. From the old Red Army outfits and Mao themes to the spectacularly SPICY hot pot. I don't think you can say you have had hot pot until you have visited this chain of restaurants. Fun atmosphere. Highly recommend. Has a big bar area where you make your sauces to dip your meat/fish into.
