Hmart is known for a variety of fresh Asian produce, seafood and other grocery products. However, not too many people know that some Hmart supermarkets such as this one here at Catonsville, MD has a Korean food court with a mixer of different Korean eateries. Similar to other food court with eating table in the middle, you simply order your food at the window at any one of the eateries and pick up your food when they call your number. You do have to clean up after you done eating though, and place your dirty dishes to the proper rack from wherever you ordered your food. If you are looking for a clean upscale place, this is not the place for you.

This place offers well prepared and authentic Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian food at reasonable prices. The restaurant itself is modest in appearance and tentative in ambiance, but there is no compromising when it comes to food taste. I went with my son for a quick dinner and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the dishes. I ordered two vegetarian entrees (dosa and vada, pancake and donut like deep fried dishes respectively served in lentils and chutney) while my selected chicken entrees (curry and rice based dishes). Both were exceptional and can be catered to both native Indian (very spicy) and more general population taste (quite manageable and only mildly spicy). Recommend that you speak to your very able server for culinary advice. The best part of this place is that there is a large variety of choices and they all are priced around $10 per entree. This allows experimentation and frequent visits to this great find. Recommend rushing here before the owners justifiably raise their prices (when they realize how good they really are)!
Dishes are constantly cooked fresh and this store stays busy so they are always replenishing. We love the flavors but the servers are very changeable with their portion control, even from order to order from same person. That's not always good but doesn't keep us from returning yet. They have indoor dining but whether dining in or out, orders are taken at the counter and boxed or plated as you wait. Teriyaki chicken is delicious.

About once or twice a year for the past 20 years we will drop by for carryout and normally the food is good. The Kung Pao Chicken and the Chicken with vegetables were fine as well as the eggrolls and soup. Time to try another place for comparison sake.

1st visit to Hunan Joy. We tried the shrimp with broccoli and the shrimp egg rolls. Service was quick and the food was good. Starting to try various Chinese restaurants now after going to 1 exclusively over the years, though we usually only go Chinese about twice a year..

Our 8-person office went here for a holiday lunch and it was a great choice! The meat is delicious-- I especially liked the Hawaiian bulgogi and spicy pork. The "all you can eat" lunch menu has various meats with different marinades (chicken, pork, beef) and you cook them at your table (the staff will help as needed). We also enjoyed grilled vegetables, green salad, noodles, rice bowls, several condiment/sides (different radishes or pickled vegetables), as well as 4 different dipping sauces. This set up worked really well people could try different things, but also stick to various dietary limitations-- i.e., no pork, no spicy, no rice, etc. We were all seated at one table and cooking and passing items around added to some "team" feeling-- it was relaxing and we all ate well!

This is a hard review to write. The service was fantastic. The server obviously saw that I was a bit outside my element when ordering. This is an extremely authentic Chinese restaurant. It is obviously very popular among the local Chinese community. Everyone I saw appeared to be very much enjoying their meal and the dining experience. The restaurant is very clean and as I mentioned earlier the service is fantastic. All that said, I did not like my food. I ordered diced chicken with chilis. I received a plate with approximately 1/2 pound of diced jalapeno peppers and approximately 1/2 pound of diced, fried, very greasy chicken. The server stated that the chicken was white meat. But if it was, it was diced without any attention for avoiding fat, gristle, bone, etc. The jalapeno peppers were full strength in the spicy department. And less you are one who loves extremely spicy food, these jalapeno peppers were not edible. This number of jalapeno peppers is not something we see in a single platter very often. Usually, when this volume up peppers are used it is Bell peppers that you're eating.Buried amongst the pile of jalapenos was the greasy chicken and a few onions and water chestnuts.Don't get me wrong, the chicken had a good flavor but it was saturated with oil.

There are five pho restaurants within a two mile radius here in Catonsville, and the next closest place is a good 15 - 20 miles south. Pho #1 is the best, and we have tried them all - many times. The broth is flavorful and never greasy. The meats are fresh, soft, and sliced thin so that as the broth heats them they never get rubbery like some other places. The pho tai is perfectly rare meat. Due to food allergies, I ask them to hold certain ingredients and they never make a mistake like some of the other area pho restaurants do. I've become so spoiled by this gem in Catonsville. Even when we travel and get pho at popular restaurants in China town areas of major cities, we still think Pho #1 is the best.

Mycoworker and I decided to try pho (and other Vietnamese dishes) for the first time and this place had the highest reviews. We got there about six and got a table. The place was clean and I could see into the kitchen with no problem. The staff was accommodating when answering my many questions and even made suggestions when they saw we were new to the cuisine. I got a quick chopstick lesson and directions on how to eat each dish. To drink I had the Alice tea. It was good but a little milky tasting which I don't care for. We ordered the steak/brisket/pork pho and the grilled pork and shrimp Bon heo (spellings?). Also ordered a chicken banh mi sandwich.LET ME TELL YOU I AM HOOKED!!! The ingredients tasted so fresh I could almost tell you the quality of the soil they were pulled from. Everything was well seasoned and I enjoyed sampling a little of everything. Lots of people came in to eat so there was a small crowd by the time we left but we will definitely be back!!

I came to eat my favorite Indian dish, but there was a well stocked buffet that night. I decided to order spinach paneer, and try a cheese stuffed na'an. My server was eager to have me take the buffet, and pointed it out that it was just as much money to have what I had ordered or the buffee.I was pleasantly surprised that none of the buffet dishes (vegetarian) were too spicy, as I am very sensitive to heat. Ironically, I did not like the spinach paneer, but the vegetable dish was so good I had to have two helpings. In the end, I was glad to have tried the buffet and see what the offerings were. I would definitely go back again!
