We were back to the Sopna again for another lovely birthday meal this evening. Delicious food and great service as always. The chicken shaslik was a winner and the lime pickle and poppadoms were fabulous. The staff are very welcoming and there is a relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely recommend the Sopna.

Well worth a stop, well cooked food especially the mutton, nice friendly atmosphere. Bring your own alcohol. Only takes cash but handy cash machine nearby. Friendly staff very helpful if explanation of menu necessary. Lots of locals eating which is always a good sign.

It was bustling when we arrived so thank goodness we booked a table in advance. Could not help though noticing how noisy it was. You could hear conversations and the minute they opened the kitchen door to serve meals it got even louder with the whoosh of the extractor fan. Having said all of that service was great and the food was really lovely. So good that we returned the following night. In a nutshell if you are looking for a romantic place to dine this is not for you. But if you're wanting good food and don't mind a noisy environment, it is definatly worth a visit.

We love a good curry, and this is what we had when we visited this restaurant, having said that there are some thigs I would like to mention.A great sign of any decent restaurant is a busy and full one and this is what we walked into however the service was a little less friendly and very direct which we were not used to. There were no napkins given to us at all when we arrived, no heat trays used when the food arrived to keep food hot and when the bill came out we were given eclairs with no hot towels. These are all little things that will raise my experience of any restaurant I or my friends visit, this isnât to say the food wasnât nice because it really was, itâs the main reason for any score but the lack of some little things just make me remove a star.

We phoned the Winner (01286675879) to place our order for Special Udon Noodles £5.80, Singapore Fried Rice £5.20 and Curry Sauce £1.30. We had not previously tasted Udon Noodles and asked for details of the meal, which the male member of staff explained, before we placed the order.Having been advised that the meal would be ready for collection in 20 minutes the meals were ready within the advised time scale. The Winner does not have a car park but on street parking was available nearby. The meals were served in aluminium trays and the sauce in a polystyrene pot. All the food was still piping hot when eaten about 5 minutes after collection. Both meals were split between two of us and we very much enjoyed our dinner. I would rate the quality of the meals as above average when compared to other Chinese takeaways. We received complimentary prawn crackers with our meal. The Winner is located in a residential area near to the Tesco store and McDonalds. It's not that easy to find but well worth the effort. The picture of the menu on Tripadvisor states it is open 5:00pm-9:30pm on Tuesdays. It is actually closed on Tuesdays. There are currently 161 items available on the menu plus banquet options for 2-4 persons so there is plenty to chose from. I intend to use this takeaway again.
