I used to give this place great reviews. Unfortunately they have really gone downhill. Maybe business is too good so they get arrogant and cocky. Service is poor. There are still great servers but a few bad apples really ruin the experience. Not sure what the foods contain, but I always feel a weird aftertaste with their food that I never experience at other places.

Located on the third floor of the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown Hotel; with outdoor terrace seating in summer and offering Burnaby's best sunday brunch. Reflect offers the ideal setting to sit back and reflect with friends while enjoying a tempting array of
This onsite restaurant inside the Hilton Metrotown Hotel, is a pleasant surprise. Yes there is the usual buffet meals available, but what is worth highlighting is the specialty dinners available at different seasons of the year. Currently (ending September 8th), its the "all you can eat" BBQ meats with a wide selection of proteins, salads, and side dishes - well worth the $23 price tag. Starting September 13th, its Autumn's turn with various winter soups and sides, for $30 all you can eat. The hotel itself may be somewhat past her prime, but this restaurant definitely isn't! Highly recommend the food, the service and the prices. Friendly and efficient wait staff and comfy seats in the lounge section. On good weather days, eat out on the rooftop section with great views of the distant mountains.Dear TravelingWoman001,Thank you very much for taking a moment to share your dining experience with us, and thank you for the awesome plugs! I am delighted that you enjoyed your dinner and hope that you will join us for our Harvest Buffet! We have more exciting things coming so keep your eyes open.Cheers,Michael

This is only the 2nd time in my life I never left a tip. The restaurant was maybe 1/4 full on a Thursday night and they looked staffed appropriately. It took awhile for them to take our order and 45 minutes in they said they were out of lamb. You have not even cooked my food yet? You would think there would be better communication between workers and your customer sooner so I expected my substitute dish to come out soon. We could see that a handful of take out orders were moving through. I have never experienced such slow service. Other customers too had trouble getting attention. They apologized when they served the first dish... and after finish eating it we wondered where the 2nd dish was? They were lucky we had intended to share otherwise I could have been waiting. When we told them if our 2nd entree is not ready basically now we wanted our bill. After a few minutes we approached the counter to say we wanted the bill again as we had to go and then they advised to take the dish as takeout which I did only because I was still hungry at full cost. The food itself was fine. We had the chicken tikka curry dinner special there and side order of cilantro and onion naan and ended up with the chicken korma at home. When I opened the takeout bag, no rice, no naan/salad.Dear guest,We apologies for your bad experience at Siddhartas Kitchen. That day we had a bigger catering order because of which we ran out of most of our food options. It was one of those bad days where we had some issues in the kitchen. We are very sorry that you had to experience this disappointment with our service. Please give us a second chance and we will make sure that this never happens with you and other customers again. We will make sure that you leave with a big smile on your face.

For decades now, we have order in food from the Burnaby Palace. It always has been good and the price seems more then fair.Early (or late) in the year, a few friends join us to celebrate getting through Christmas. We have been doing this for many years with the same group. The place that we go to is always a Chinese food restaurant. (Just in case you donât know, there are probably thousands in metro Vancouver).I was the only one that had eaten here before. This was just lunches with the Chair of a Vancouver based charity group. So, on my say so, this year we reserved a table at the Burnaby Palace. The service and food were wonderful. Everyone really had a great time. However, there were a few televisions showing Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, or some African wild life show about apes. Who new that these could be so distracting? In reality, many eyes were glued to see who could come up with the next question or buy a vowel. This and the apes building something with logs really to me, put a bit of a damper on the evening.Having stated my gripes, the rest of the group loudly sang the praises of the This year we reserved a table at the Burnaby Palace and we will be going back to celebrate getting through Christmas again.

I recently went there to have Christmas lunch with a friend and found it quite an enjoyable experience. The food was tasty and very reasonable... Service was reasonably prompt and friendly. The biggest problem was parking... It took my friend 1/2 hour to find a place to put her car.

I have visited this restaurant first time in 2010 and the quality hasnât changed ever since (the prices did go up, but I still have this as not-to-miss spot whenever Iâm in Vancouver). The staff is very nice and if it is not too busy, we enjoy sitting at the bar and watching the sushi chef.

I recently had dinner at this restaurant with my family and we shared several dishes. After reading the reviews, I was somewhat disappointed with the food. The crispy vermicelli appetizer was very good but I thought the rest of the dishes were average, at best. The service was friendly and fast, however, and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant is clearly popular and people were waiting outside for a table by 6:00 p.m.

Itâs been a while since we last visited Broken Rice in North Burnaby. This Vietnamese restaurant located on Hastings Street has always been a spot where we knew we would get a good quality meal. Unlike most Vietnamese restaurants which seem to be hole-in-the-wall joints, Broken Rice seems to be of slightly higher ambiance with beautiful blue and white dishware. On this revisit, we decided to stick with their appetizers and ordered the Fried Chicken Wings ($8.95) tossed in a tamarind fish sauce, Pork and Shrimp Salad Rolls ($8.25), and the Coconut Shrimp Cakes ($9.50).Weâve had their garlic butter chicken wings previously and, while not on the same level as the wings at Phnom Penh, we thought they did a good enough job that we wanted to try their other flavour. The tamarind fish sauce added a mix of sweet and tanginess to the wings.Meanwhile, the pork and shrimp salad rolls were stuffed full of vermicelli, shrimp, lettuce, and bean sprouts and served with a thick and creamy peanut dipping sauce.I think my favourite dish of this visit was the Coconut Shrimp Cakes or Bánh Khá»t. These amazingly crispy mini pancakes made up of rice flour batter and coconut milk are fried into the shape of round molds with a super soft and creamy filling of minced shrimp, pork and green onions. To top it off, they serve it with nÆ°á»c mắm sauce which adds to the sweet, sour, salty, and savory complexity of flavours.

We have been going to Sushi Garden for many years and this one on Kingsway, their newest location in Burnaby, is very nice. Very efficient, I never have to wait long for two people and you are in and out fairly quickly. This however doesnât help towards the ambiounce much as you are very close to everyone else on all sides.Sushi is always so fresh and delicious and the presentation is wonderful. I love their sushi! Great noodle bowls too. Yummy!
