Japanese restaurant & cafe
This restaurant has been open a few months so should have worked out any service issues but unfortunately we were hit with 2 when we visited. Let me say the decor is nice and the menus look good as a first impression and I like the table buzzers to get service - although they didnât really give us the desired result this visit. The share plates of Panko prawns and kaarage chicken were fabulous to begin with, but the spring rolls were still cold in the Centre after being deep fried. We returned them and they were replaced with fresh ones, but then one of our orders just didnât turn up at all. We eventually queried it then cancelled the order as we were ready to leave. The food we had was 2/3 good but some major service issues here that shouldnât happen, especially when there werenât many customers in the place.Weâd go back again to give it a second chance though.

Japanese food is one of my favourites, and having tried many places before, was optimistic about this supposed little gem hidden away over North Bundy. I visited Friday night, and it was cosy and small, with Kevin himself bustling around preparing the meals. My companions were long time customers who recommended the place, and they ordered a few dishes (both Japanese and Korean orientated) to share around. Some that were ordered included chicken and avocado sushi, a Korean curry hot pot, salmon sashimi, and soba noodles with pork and other toppings. All dishes were shared around, and were amazing. Personally, I had never tried sashimi before, and was a firm denier when anything remotely raw was passed my way. However, I was bullied into trying a small, lightly seared piece dipped in the Japanese mayo and the soy sauce provided, and was pleasantly surprised. I quickly ended up working my way up to the completely raw strips with just soy sauce. It was amazingly tender and buttery. If you've never tried sashimi before but wish to, this would be a great place to start, as the sashimi is ridiculously fresh. Kevin's Restaurant is an amazing little eatery that everyone must try at least one. A hard-working man tucked away in a small store making the best Japanese food that Bundaberg has to offer. I will be back (and ordering sashimi).

We love this chinese restaurant and keep going back again and again. This time we took visitors to our favourite chinese restaurant and they thoroughly enjoyed it.The singapore noodles were absolutely delicious and it was hard to finish the whole plate as it was HUGE !! $9.00 for a lunchtime meal was unbelievable !!!And you can BYO wine / beer and they dont charge corkage. Water is brought to the table and you can purchase soft drinks.
Great noodle meals, fresh, tasty and oh so filling!!!! Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick nutritious meal on the go

Always love coming here. Lunch time specials or order from their menu. Always so fresh and generous portions with very reasonable prices. Don't rely on dine in as there are only a few tables but they specialise in take away. Plenty of parking and service is tremendous you can get in and out in a short lunch break. Dinner they do up the smorgasbord Bain maries. Thanks Kevin and Susie - happy customers

Had heard wonderful things about the food, both eat in and takeaway but had not been before. Friends who eat here often arranged a night. Was sooo impressed with both the food and ambiance. Fairy lights, soft lighting, Indian decor- just beautifulWill definitely be a regular now both takeaway and eat in.Serving sizes were excellent. We had had medium for all dishes. We were all very happy with the night

We have been coming to eat at this family run restaurant for over 10 years and have absolutely loved the food especially the Indian curries. Having eaten Indian food in dozens of countries this restaurant always came out tops so what has happened to the once delicious food? The last three times we've dined here the meals have ranged from watery and tasteless to plain awful. The once superb spinach palak I've enjoyed for years was served cold and was so awful I couldn't eat it. The once delicious Indian vegetable curry had large chunks of almost raw vegetables in a too tart tasteless sauce. The world's best butter chicken is no more. Even my favourite Thai papaya salad had rock hard shrimps in it and was not sweet enough. To top it off we were subjected to the owner's children screaming for our entire lunch! As this was our third visit of below standard food I doubt that we'll be returning in the near future unless we hear that this once fantastic restaurant is serving great food.

Got takeaway on a Tuesday night after looking at recommendations on trip advisor - must have changed owners because the food was below average.Got Chicken satay sticks for entree - container had so much oil in it - satay sauce was tasteless and chicken was rubbery and tasteless (didn't even have the consistency of chicken).Got green beef curry (had to pay extra for rice) - curry was tasteless - tasted like green coloured water with a hint of spice. The prices do not reflect the the quality of food here which was evident as the restaurant had only 2 people dining in.Avoid this place or face disappointment.

We are an exotic Indian restaurant in Bundaberg qld And we guarantee that if you try our food it won't waste your money So we strongly recommend you to come and try once
After reading the reviews of all the indian restaurants in bundaberg and craving a curry , we decided this would be the best choice. Unfortunately, bundaberg great, isnât that great. I would say this is more of a take away standard than a restaurant as the âserviceâ was non existent. Waiters and waitresses had no conversation and no interest in how the meal was. The food was ok. Which is a shame because the decor is quirky. It was Saturday night and we were the only people in there, that says it all. We are travellers passing by, if you are too, just go straight on by.
