Have now eaten here with friends 5 times and have been very pleased each time. It is small and not fancy but the food is delicious! The menu is very large and yet every dish I've tried has been excellent. The sushi is innovative and very fresh. Loved the "butterfly" with tuna, avocado, shrimp, crab topped with thinly sliced mango! The orange chicken was perfectly cooked with a light, beautifuly flavored orange sauce. No heavy breaking on the chicken, just lightly crispy. Perfect! The Beijing duck is also delicious. If you love asian food there is something here for everyone and will keep coming back.

We've had a rash of issues with Chinese restaurants lately, poorly cooked food, meat that was all gristle, fried rice that was more like fries mush, things in the food that was NOT supposed to be there (don't ask). So, on a pursuit of a restaurant where we would be happy, we tried the China House. I know it's been here for a long time and that should mean that it's good food, but our formally go to place was there for over a decade and then just took a dive, so we entered with hopes, but not expecting the world. What we got was HUGE portions, and my huge I mean, stuff yourself at the restaurant and still have another dinner later. Hubby thought the hot and sour soup was one of the best he's ever had. Since he makes his own at home from scratch, that's saying something. The fried rice was crisp. The plate of veggie low mein was loaded with crisp pea pods, and yes, huge. I got a beef and broccoli plate withe fried rice and took more than half home. the broccoli was crips and green. Beef was tender, no gristle. Lots of yummy sauce on it. Hubby had crispy orange chicken which had just a touch of spicy too it, but not too hot, and very crisp. He said it was the best he's ever had. Hubby was on a roll here! What really got us excited is what came with our check. Yes, everyone hangs out the fortune cookies usually thrown on the table with the check. Not here! They came on a plate with a small bowl of pineapple chunks! What a great palate cleanser after a meal! But wait, what really clinched the deal were the HOT DAMP WASH CLOTHS WITH A SLIGHT LAVENDER SMELL TO WASH YOUR HANDS! I've NEVER had that at any chines restaurant I ever ate at before! Heck, you dont' even get that at most 5 star places! This is a very small courtesy other part, and enough to make someone come back again. I hope other places are listening! Prices were very good. Not the cheapest I've seen int he area, and not the most expensive, but the portions are huge, so well worth it to know you'll have seconds (and maybe thirds).

If youâve ever been to a Chinese buffet, you pretty much get the idea. Cheap, decently tasty, incredibly high grease content. High light level, bad furniture. The clientele is a little scary. So, if youâre at Brimfield and donât want to be so downmarket, go elsewhere.

After a long day at the Brimfield Antique Show my wife and I opted for this Thai restaurant she had seen on our way back to the hotel. It was a little difficult to find in the dark being located on a traffic circle and apparently Sturbridge, MA has an ordinance prohibiting large commercial signage. As we entered we were unsure whether to seat ourselves or wait for a host/hostess. When no one approached us we made contact with one of the wait staff who seated us. Except for the wanton soup the food was excellent. The wanton soup lacked spices (salt/pepper). The pad thai was great as were the Thai rolls. All the food, including the soup, was fresh and appetizing to look at. FYI, the three gentlemen next to us all had steaks and they looked terrific. The wait staff was entirely 20 somethings who were friendly and took excellent care of us. The amount and quality of the food for the money was excellent.

I wish I could say that it was the best sushi I've ever had. But, it wasn't. One of the best is down the road a bit. But, had been wanting to try Baba Sushi for quite some time as we pass by it often. We stopped in for a late lunch. The tempura was good...albeit, the selection was not impressive. The sushi was okay - not great, not even overly good - but, okay. It was certainly fresh and somewhat creative but I think we expected more - much more. I wasn't overly surprised as Baba in Worcester didn't have me at hello either - but, it wasn't horrible. Had we had time for to try the hotpot, we would've. Thus, we will certainly visit again. Staff was nice - a very young staff who managed quite well.

This place didn't seem as good after my last review, another sushi place W of CT river better. That place slipped this one was great today! We (bro or brother&I) come in greeting prob standard but was nice felt welcome instantly unlike some places. Got stuck in corner but it was great, the fish in tank were amusing! Waitress was nice, I was "friend" then both of us "friends". At first thought phony but she later seemed genuinely nice based on interactions with others. Attentive service not overdone but well done. The music ambience all that was spot on. The sushi was great, better than that other place that became our go to place. Left with serene peaceful happy stomach and mind it was great!
