Named one of the top ten small art towns in the country, Brattleboro's downtown is packed with coffee shops, bookstores, and art galleries. Over the course of a year, the town hosts world class jazz concerts, film festivals, and theater companies. There was a lot of excitement surrounding the opening of Panda West since the owners had a previous restaurant, Sakura, which was amazing! But right out of the gate Panda West was scrutinized for assumingly taking the name from another very popular Chinese restaurant in town (Panda North). With all of the scrutiny and criticism they changed their name to Asian Gourmet. I tried really hard to like the place since they where the only Chinese restaurant in West Brattleboro, they where on the way home from work, and they delivered. But they where cheap and you absolutely paid for what you got. The food was absolutely awful and I actually get sick after eating there. I gave them several chances but I just cant eat there. I'll be driving to the other side of town and spending double for quality Chinese food. (The owners and the service was always great though)

As someone who is both indecisive and loves Chinese food, a Chinese buffet sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, this one left me a bit disappointed. Their food selection is rather small, and definitely left me wishing there was a bit more variety. If you're looking for a quick, inexpensive place for dinner, I'd still recommend this place. It has a lot of the staples, but they were missing a number of things I've come to expect from a Chinese buffet. And to say they have "sushi" too is a bit of an overstatement. I think they have a greater variety of sushi at Hannaford across the street.

For people who like kimchi, this restaurant will certainly satisfy. I am not that familiar with Korean cooking and so my dish with cellophane noodles seemed heavy but tasty. My husband found his dish made differently than he had had in the past. Drinks included soft drinks, beer and wine. We were the only table at 5:30 pm on a Thursday night but then people came later.

This is some of the best Thai food I've had. In close competition with Anon's for the area, but very different. Their Pad Thai is packed with veggies. Their curries are delicious and that mango salad is the best! The people are friendly and order/pick up is very easy.

It was around dusk when we dined here, and there was a gathering of street musicians and protestors (donât worry, they werenât protesting the restaurant!) outside in the adjacent courtyard. We enjoyed both the spectacle outside, and definitely the food inside! Everything was served swiftly and the spices were dead-on. Thoroughly enjoyed my Drunken Noodles, and the Egg Custard for dessert reminded me of the PA Dutch egg custard pies my mother used to make when I was young.

Route 5 South, Fairfield Plaza Shopping Center. Between Olympia and Staples.
Just visited for lunch and was blown away. Wide variety menu and everything was fresh, seasoned beautifully, and cooked to perfection. Beef, to la,b, to shrimp....all top quality. Lunch menu is a steal, and the wonders ever so welcoming. Beats my local NYC haunts by a mile.Worth a stop if youâre traveling north, and a must visit often if youâre lucky enough to be a Brattleboro local.Canât wait to go back!
