Benicia (/bəˈniːʃə/ bə-NEE-shə; bə-NI-shə; Spanish pronunciation: [beˈnisja]) is a waterside city in Solano County, California, located in the North Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. It served as the state capital for nearly thirteen months from 1853 to 1854. The population was 26,997 at the 2010 census. The city is located along the north bank of the Carquinez Strait. Benicia is just east of Vallejo and across the strait from Martinez. Elizabeth Patterson has served as Mayor of Benicia since 2007.

I don't often eat Chinese food, but when I do, I want something special and Sunflower is something special. First the staff are wonderful. Second the flavorings on the food are unique and everything doesn't taste the same. Third, they will accommodate special requests. This trip we had the walnut shrimp, general chicken, Hunan chicken and schezwan chicken. Each of the flavors were profoundly different and the dishes cooked perfectly.

Nine of us (including 2 children) had dinner here on xmas day, probably their busiest day of the year. Luckily, we had a reservation because there were people in droves waiting to come in. We ordered a fabulous assortment: fish, veggies, chicken, tofu, you name it. My favorite was the lemon chicken. Yum. Despite the hoards of people, our food came pretty fast. And the bill was surprisingly LOW. Tip: this is not the place if you are trying to have a quiet conversation because the noise of happy eaters is somewhat daunting.

Dined Sept 30, 2018. This is a recently opened Burmese restaurant that excels in awesome home-made food. You can have the degree of spiciness that you choose. We particularly enjoyed the Wok-fired lemongrass salmon, the lamb Kebat, and the stir-fried pumpkin shrimp. Also, we loved the Tea leaf Salad and the pomp of it being mixed at the table. And, for desert, donât miss the Banana Jackfruit and he âHouse Desertâ (palatha with sliced strawberries and bananas Topped with condensed milk and ice cream. The servers ae very profession and go out of their way to be helpful. Décor is refined and romantic. The restaurant has a small parking lot that you must enter from northbound contra costa boulevard

We came here to celebrate with family. We sat in one section. Our chef was friendly and funny. Parking was bit of a challenge for a busy night--but valet is available. Easy access from the highway.

Matsuriâs is a great place for Sushi lovers. The food is fresh and artfully presented. Robert takes great pride in his work and the food reflects that. The Teriakyi Bento box is a favorite as is their seaweed salad and sashimi. The food is reliably good and the wait staff are excellent.

Our litmus test for any Thai restaurant is green curry. Too many Thai restaurants use prepared/pre-fab curry paste which tend to be thick and gummy. This restaurant makes their green curry from scratch. Hence, the 5 stars on this visit. We had the $10 lunch special which includes soup, a choice of appetizer (chicken sate and egg roll), salad, and main dish. We ordered cashew chicken and green curry pork, with the request that the green curry be extra spicy. The green curry pleased and passed the test. We want to return for dinner to try other dishes.

This cute family run restaurant is on main street in the sleepy town of Martinez. The food was delicious and portions much larger than Thai restaurants . My family has enjoyed this spot for years.
