Visited Yash with small group of friends (6) on Thursday evening restaurant was half full.Firstly I have to say the food was good, everything was tasty and exactly as ordered. Unfortunately the service wasnât great, most of staff were quite miserable barely speaking and actually tutted when we asked for 5 more mins to peruse the menu before placing order (we had only been there 5 mins!) We waited nearly an hour for food. When we left we had to step over buckets of cutlery near the door ? no-one said thank you or goodbye, all very odd, it was almost like we were an inconvenience. A real shame and I hope that this review is taken constructively

We ordered a take away from here, told order would be 45minutes; 60mins and still not arrived so we called to see if it would be much longer; was told driver is on the way. 15mins later it's still not here so called back; was told the driver is new and has gotten lost - we live a few mins drive down the SAME road! Told she would phone the driver and call back...no call back so call again to be told the driver is not answering and has not returned...at which point I asked if the food would be recooked as surely the food would now be cold to be told they need to get hold of the driver. After 1hr 35mins I ask them to recook and I will go and collect (they were very unhappy and rude about doing this!). As I leave the house the driver arrives who explained that he was not new, and this is the first batch of food (not recooked) but he had brought it straight to us so the restaurant had lied about the order on the way and driver getting lost! So we finally sit down to eat and a whole meal is missing from the order!! So I phone up to complain, that I would be there to collect in 5 minutes (all the time the delivered food is getting cold!) I get there and have to argue to get some money back for the seriously poor service and now mostly cold food. Even worse, the food in the end was mediocre at best. A total disappointment. We will never order from here again.

Visited here again and this place is just amazing...Shown to a lovely Table.Had the Mix Platter Starter..Food very Fresh and Tasty and lots of it...Main meal was just as Outstanding...Impeccable Staff..Fantastic Ambient Surroundings. Will be there again.

The title refers to how close you are to other diners!If you enjoy listening in to other peopleâs conversations,well this is the place for you!The seating plans are absolutely ridiculous,with tables literally on top of each other,and as for the manic depressive staff and the very moderate food,this place is well worth avoiding.

The goods:Traditional âEnglish Indianâ food, which was very tasty Lots of vegetarian choices The mushroom rice was delicious, with big slices of mushroom Great decor & ambience Lots of parking Not far off the A1 so good location The not so goods: I agree totally with another reviewer; the service was odd. You have to experience it to understand what I mean. One person running around frantically, the others wandering, whilst asking several times if the food is ok. The bill is illegible so we didnât know if it was correct My change was incorrect & when I questioned it, the waiter knew exactly by how much (£1) without me even telling him. How did he know?Overall, the food is good but the staff need training. And I was NOT impressed at being short- changed

Tried a takeaway from here for the first time as our local takeaways are nothing to write home about, only decent being China Rose in Bawtry which is a little pricey for a takeaway but you pay for quality. We certainly wonât be coming ordering from here again.Special fried rice was tasteless with tiny and sparse pieces of meat that had no flavour to them, just tasted like cheap, boiled long life meat.Also had King prawns with garlic and chilli and the sauce was so watery it was tasteless. Total waste of money Iâm afraid. Real shame.

This restaurant was selected for us by my daughter and it didn't disappoint. the roadside parking was pretty much outside - on entering (we had reserved in advance) we had a nice table set back one from the main window seating. Menu was full and quite wide ranging across curry styles and we easily all found something e liked and shared the sides and naan etc. We were served quickly and food came out promptly too. We had drinks (mixed alcoholic and non) and overall enjoyed a meal over around 90 minutes. my only downside comment was that the gents toilets were a little of a let down - could do with a refurbishment. Itâs always nice to visit The Dower, itâs certainly becoming an institution of Bawtry.Always a lovely greeting from Ronnie and his two sons, we are taken care off superbly from start to finish.The menu, as always offers something for everyoneâs palette.The wines are also good and reasonably priced.The only thing I will say, and we should know better living in Bawtry, the food is always better midweek, simply because the kitchen isnât under as much pressure.We visited on a Saturday, and it was a little substandard.

We used to live not far from this restaurant, visiting it for special occasions, and returned from Scotland after 12 years on a special trip. We were not disappointed: the food and slick service were exemplary as always. A truly delightful evening in a restaurant buzzing with atmosphere. Thankyou China Rose!
