We visited this restaurant earlier this month for dinner. We did not make a reservation and just turned up at 8pm on a Saturday evening and the place was almost empty and to be honest, I am not surprised. The restaurant itself is very dated and the hosting was almost hostile, but as we were hungry, we decided to let this go. We ordered starters & main courses and were very disappointed with both the food and the presentation. I don't know if the server couldn't speak English or was just having a bad day but she was almost mute when taking our orders and when she served them. The food had no real flavour and was almost bland. The bill came to £55 for both of us including 1 wine and 1 beer. When it came to paying, the server wasn't anywhere to be found and so I left the money on the bar. It is very rare that I don't tip, but on this occasion I really wasn't going to leave one as the service was poor and we didn't really enjoy the food. We will never be visiting this place again.

I believe a change of ownership/management has taken place this year. This has not been a good move! Their timekeeping is atrocious with the waiting area often full of fed up people who have been kept waiting way past the informed time. Food is still ok, poor cuts of meat though and with the change came a price increase. Time to get a bit more organised before people vote with their feet. If you like Indian go for Masala, Pilton St. superb quality food run very professionaly.

Lovely food every time although it can be a bit of a wait at busy times. They do deliver or you can pick up. Never been disappointed. Indian is our favourite and we have shopped around but found these the best.

Had been looking forward to eating here for some time but greatly disappointed.Appears to be understaffed but food deliveries were going out all the time, while many were waiting to be served at the tables. We ordered the set menu which was a lovely starter, very tasty but after that the soup was bland and the main course inedible. It was over two hours from our arrival before the main course was served. We were warned about our dinner plates being hot but they were stone cold by the time we were served half hour later. The vegetables were hard and the beef was tough,so we hardly touched it.Tried to explain to the woman I assume was the owner, whilst paying, that we couldnt eat the mains as it wasnt to our taste and she thought we meant too hot.She apologised about the long wait but I find it difficult to believe with so many deliveries going out of the door.We could have made a scene about the mains being unedible but chose to just pay and go and put it down to experience. We wont be going back

My family and I were incredibly disappointed with the quality of food we received here. Having been in the past many times and always rated Han court one of the best places for Chinese food. This was sadly shattered last night having found all of the food to be to a very low standard and very overpriced for what it was. We will not be going again.

Have visited this Restaurant many times When I have been in the area on business and the quality of the food is amazing. The menu is extensive with a great range of dishes but be warned the Restaurant is often fully booked even mid week so make sure you book in advance.

Sid and Merle welcome you to the Ganges for a wonderful experience of honest Indian home style cooking. Real Indian food is fresh, full of flavour and healthy. Our simple dishes are the kind of food Indians eat at home and on their streets.
We were tired after a long journey and needed comfort. This lovely restaurant was perfect. Charming, friendly, helpful staff and delicious food. It was a very good experience.

Had a fantastic meal at this great restaurant. The restaurant was busy as it was a Saturday night, however it was clean and we received a warm welcome on our arrival. The menu had a good variety of Nepalese dishes as well as the usual popular dishes you would see in an Indian restaurant. The food was tasty, well cooked with good quality ingredients. It could contain a little more heat from chillies for me, but that is very much a personal preference. The standout feature of the restaurant was the quality of the service and the friendly staff who went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our meal.Canât wait to return.
