Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Bardez. Bardez is the name of a region and taluka in North Goa. The name is credited to the Brahmin immigrants who migrated to the Konkan via Magadha in Gangetic India from Āryāvarta, in the north-western part of the Indian sub-continent. Bardez or more properly Bara (twelve) desh (country) means "twelve countries" (or lands). The form "country" probably refers to clan territorial limits, or to the Brahmin comunidades, of which the twelve, in no particular order, are Aldona, Moira, Olaulim, Nachinola, Siolim, Anjuna, Candolim, Serula, Saligao, Sangolda, Assagao and Pomburpa

Jamies is a cab ride from baga beach around 300 rupees. The menu is quite extensive and will suit all needs and tastes with traditional sausage and mash to a typical Goan curry. Our food was served very quickly, I had chicken curry, rice with cheese & garlic nan it was a perfect sized portion and hotness. (they ask how hot you would like it) My fellow traveler had prawn curry and they were as equally satisfied with their meal. The staff were very attentive and pleasant. they do a nice selection of cocktails but we shared a bottle of house wine @1900 rupess (In Goa wine is expensive in comparison to the UK) only downside for me personally was lack of ambiance maybe some back ground music would change that. We could hear every customers conversations.

Spice Goa is a 15 year old establishment serving Authentic Goan Food. Well known for our freshest sea food, home made masalas and excellent food quality. Spice Goa is a favorite among locals and tourists for the Goan Fish Thali.
We tried it on a recommendation from a vegetarian friend; a rather insalubrious looking building but inside was pleasant enough.Quite busy, reasonably priced, good prompt service & quite a good thali & pieces of fried fish, hindu style.Yet, somehow we were left unconvinced- not sure why? Maybe the usual- successful business that does not re-invest? Not so clean? Low, claustrophobic ceiling? Wretched, Over-worked staff? I don't know.

We visited this restaurant 3 times during our stay in Calungute. The service was excellent and the food was great. I tried the steak which was delicious and all of the curries we tried were also great. Itâs one of the best restaurants we went to in Calungute.

Where to start. Great food, great service with a smile is always a good place. We have a hit list of old favourites and new places to try so rarely do we return to a restaurant multiple times on the same trip but Vinny and the boys keep drawing us back. Vinny is a well-loved host and always manages to get it just right. I guarantee from your first visit you will feel at home. It's quite a talent he has. Vinney's Indian food knowledge is incredible. I say what flavours we want to eat and hey presto it arrives. Our favourite meal of the last trip was a sweet pumpkin curry with garlic grilled prawns. Just wow.. All wrapped up in a garden setting. Worth a vist...

Bluebird is located near our hotel, 5 min by walk, thatâs why we decided to have a lunch here. The atmosphere was very pleasant: weâve seated upstairs. Also there is WiFi inside. As for cuisine, it was just fantastically tasty! We liked everything weâve ordered! Soup, crab termodor, salad, masala and potato, cooked with zira (it was sooo yammy) Thank you!

Jardin never fails to surprise us with itâs romantic ambience and amazing food. Weâve been coming here since the last three years and have even stayed on the premises once. Both veg and non-veg dishes are wholesome and delicious. The owner Gilbert adds his personal touch always. The river across the road is the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or lunch. Keep it up guys!!Thanks so much Preeti..Looking forward to see you again very soon.

Recommended for lunch as you have a nice beach ambiance.Lovely restaurant & very friendly staff. We were there early on Sat eve, 8.30pm.We were distinctly uncomfortable- loud, very cold & dark. Not our ideal dining conditions- maybe we are getting old!The Prawn dumpling was actually very good as was the mixed rice but the green curry was the least authentic we have ever had- straight from a packet.
