A self-service Thai restaurant, with food of the highest quality, will give you an unexpected good meal even if it's a self-service. In the summer you can eat al fresco under a pergola, but what's remarkable is that you would not expect a Thai restaurant on the Swiss hills, just off a small semi-industrial town: a pleasant surprise.

I guess there is no need to go to Zurich for excellent Chinese food. Located in the heart of Wettigen, a small town near Baden, China City is a very nice place to enjoy some good Chinese food. I read the reviews on Tripadvidor, and since my son and I were in the viscinity apartment hunting, I thought we'd give the place a try. We were immediately greeted in German, and the lady switched to a perfect English when she noticed we weren't comfortable with German yet. Not a requirement, since we are in German speaking Switzerland, but a nice touch. We sat on their terrace and our drink order was taken immediately. A couple minutes later, we had drinks in front of us, and English menus in our hands. Again, a nice touch. I started with a Szechuan soup and my son the veggy spring rolls. The soup was delicious. Not too thick and starchy, as it can be in many places, and very flaroful. I didn't try the rolls, but my son seemed to be quite happy with them.We followed with Kung Pao beef for me and a version of Sweet & Sour chicekn for my son. He chose fried rice, and plain white rice for me. The dishes were both great. Not super spicy for me, but enough to earn the little spicy logo next to the dish, and also not too much to kill the flavor. The S&S chicken was also very good and tender.Overall, a great place to have Chinese food. I wanted to try other things, but it will have to wait until I most likely return. A bit pricey, but that's to be expected for food in Switzerland. Dinner for 2 with appetizers and drinks will set you back over CH100. But the quality of the food and service is most definitely worth it! Enjoy!

Fresh, authentic and fabulous. We had both Indian Curry and Turkish lamb and of course 2 kinds of Nan bread. It was all Fabulous, spicy, fresh and wonderful. Service I think was the owner and he was amazing. Truly surprising off the beaten path "not in the old town" and wonderful.

After a long trial we could get 3 places at the grill.... The restaurant is pretty nice. The cooks, great! The service could be a bit nicer. The dinner was excellent. Each of the courses had an extraordinary taste. The bill was a bit salty but hey! We were in Switzerland in a Japanese restaurant and we enjoyed the evening and the food!

You can find the restaurant just by the train station. It is quite large inside. They serve China and Thai food. We tried the Tom Yum Soup in a large portion (8 shrimps!) and the Thai Beef Salad. Both were tasty. Service was good

Went for dinner 2 times.The food is truly excellent. I've never seen such a good korean restaurant not even in Zurich.You can also have some Thai dishes too.(The young couple are Korean & Thai)The grill is also highly recommended. (Reservation in advance needed)If you're interested to try the real korean restaurant or love the spicy foods,you must go there.

The place doesn't look inviting from either outside or on the inside. But the food was very good. I would absolutely come again. I had seafood and fish, shrimp and squid were all fresh, flavorful and delicious. The service was very friendly too. If you're going for food you're going to like it. But it may not be too convenient for any important business lunch or a dinner with wine.

Wednesday evening, 1830, Party of four. Each one had a separate dish. From Beeftatar, Vitello tonato, Sushi Box to Thai Curry. Excellent! Good wine, I had a White Merlot. Afterwards Sweets, very nice. Birthday sweet nicely presented. Very friendly Service by Myriam and friends.

Unfortunately this restaurant suffers the problem many "Indian" restaurants suffer from in Europe: Even if you specifically ask them to prepare the dishes hot like in India, they fail to do so. This makes them considerably worse and less authentic. Truly a shame, as otherwise the quality of the food and service is amazing.
