Met friends here for dinner, had a selection of food and each dish was better than the last. The service was excellent, fast and the atmosphere and decor sublime. Was a weeknight so parking was easy. The food and drink menu is extensive so suggest you look first and talk after :-)

Cooking 25 years. Cheap eats in the heart of Auckland CBD. Asian style street food. Cooked fresh to your order, served hot to your table. Open 7 days, fully licensed, Everyone welcome!
This is mainly Asian street foodJapanese Korean Malaysian IndianWe had Malaysian Laksa because we adore it. It was nicely spiced with thai paste, coconut sauce, noodles, tofu and chicken. The portions are huge and you are given a spoon and chopsticks. It isn't posh at all. Canteen type tables and chairs and you find your own table definitely no airs and graces. Each portion was $12 ...... 6 English pounds. You can get drinks there too. There is a clean toilet upstairs.

Please come and enjoy our great atmosphere & great food. Kushi Japanese Kitchen & Bar officially opened on 2nd Dec 2011, serving authentic Japanese cuisine including sushi, Yakitori, Tepanyaki, Sashimi and more.
Initially called in for a very quick lunch with work colleagues and advised they were closing in 10 minutes but we were welcome to come in if we didn't mind them clearing up around us - tick number 1 for customer service. had a selection of entree size meals to share - all were amazing - beef tataki to die for, fresh and well chilled sashimi, interesting popped rice kaarage chicken and crispy tempura. Three very satisfied and happy customers who were treated very well. So much so that we decided to return the next evening due to the torrential rain and proximity to the hotel - but also due to the warm and welcoming staff. Evening menu a little more substantial with more main dishes and and bento box type meals, and we went fro a few of the above but included a wonderful salad and pork belly and agedashi tofu washed down with chilled Kirin and matcha and black sesame ice cream for dessert. Atmosphere is warm and there are various seating types depending on mood - booth, tables, floor and the bathroom are really funky too.All in all a heavily recommended restaurant for CBD Auckland - the food is sensational, but the atmosphere and all welcoming staff really made another visit inevitable next time in NZ. Thank you guys and keep up the excellent work.

Tokyo Club is located in the busy entertainment hub, Ponsonby Central. We are a Izakaya style dining bar, with great, freshly prepared Japanese cuisine. We are an authentic, licensed restaurant, like you would see in the yokocho alleys of Tokyo. No bookin

There are lots of good things about this restaurant, the atmosphere, the service, the food quality, but the standard lunch menu was really disappointing. You had only 3 options to select from and no vegetarian option. The burger with a side of fries, very good, but not my first choice of a lunch meal and the other two options certainly didnât appeal. The same with the selection for desserts, someone trying to be too clever, fine, but if you had, say an apple pie or something traditional, we would not have gone to Nottingham Hill for our coffee and desserts. Sure, have the fancy sounding stuff for those who want it but I am sure I speak for many, have a good simple food option as well, itâs just keeps the till ringing!

We always have an amazing time at Oh Calcutta. From the beautiful setting of the restaurant, the attentive staff and not to forget the gorgeous food! Everything dish has been hand picked and deliver a unique flavour to your pallet. Also, the wine selection is amazing!I look forward my next visit and eat more of the foods!

Tucked away down an alley in the quaint lil town of Parnell, is the Blue Elephant Thai Restaurant. But actually, the giant metal elephant on top of the restaurant is silver. The restaurant is a warm, inviting place and the staff greets you immediately. We placed our drink order and then the entrees and main dishes. The entrees came out quickly. The spring rolls were flavorful and had vermicelli noodles in them. The prawn cakes were disappointing. They were mushy and loaded with grease. The waitress asked us how the entrees were and I said disappointing. The manager came right over and apologized and offered us another selection to replace the prawn cakes. This was very nice and thoughtful We were asked if we wanted our main dishes to be started. The main dishes arrived and we shared Sizzling king prawns, Thai Fried Rice with Chicken and the Blue Elephant crispy spicy pork. The crispy pork was rich with intense flavors. Every forkful was a tantalizing treat on the tongue. The king prawns were huge. They came with the heads on the shrimp which made us chuckle looking at their black beady eyes. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the brown sauce it came with was rich and delicious. We had to flag our waitress down a couple times for drink refills otherwise this would have been a 5 star review. Definitely worth finding this lil gem; skip the prawn cakes and enjoy the rest. Amazing flavors! Enjoy!

Cassia is a modern Indian restaurant by award winning Chef Sid Sahrawat of Sidart.
Not your typical Indian restaurant, this is more modern European fusion cooking with an Indian twist. We have been to his other 2 restaurants: Sidart & Sid at the French Cafe, both at or near the top of Auckland restaurants for fine dining.Cassia is still fine dining, but in a more relaxed manner. The food pops with flavour, presentation, quality and service were excellent. Very hard to faultSummary - yes will definitely go again

Auckland's finest Korean / Asian fusion restaurant, but with an experience you've never seen before. Come to explore the jungle right at the heart of the city!
Itâs been a while since we visited this restaurant and we felt it was looking a bit tired and could do with a spruce up.The food was still good and prices reasonable. The teriyaki chicken bun was an excellent starter. We had the Kimchi fried rice with pork belly for main, only 3 small pieces of pork belly , a couple more would have made a difference. I missed that it had chilli in the dish , not my thing, but still enjoyed it. Overall good.
