Reviews on Asian food in Aspen, Colorado, United States. Everyone knows Aspen as a top-notch winter resort town. But outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy it in the summer, too, when the mountains become a perfect setting for hiking, biking and horseback tours. Some may be surprised to find it’s a top romance destination—but after all that outdoor exercise, who wouldn’t want to repair to a luxurious hotel room or a cozy, firelit bar?

Service was extremely slow for only 3 other people in the restaurant. The honey chicken, we ordered the honey on the side, they poured it all over the chicken. No attention to detail. The shrimp was over cooked. The beer I ordered was not cold.I will never eat here again and I suggest you find another place to spend your money.

What a letdown! We were looking forward to our Asian dinner. Our service was terrible. Three in our group ordered curry dishes and their dishes were delivered in a reasonable time. My dish (Pad Se Ew) didnât come for an additional 17 min, after the other three had almost finished. This was only after asking about my dish twice. There was no bok choy in my dish, just raw broccoli and uncooked carrots. We had a 5th person join our dinner and ordered as my dish was delivered. His curry came out quickly, but discovered his potatoes were cold and carrots were completely raw. He sent the dish back and asked for his food to be cooked. They microwaved it and returned the plate, now hot from microwaving. Then we finished our below average food and waited over 15 min AFTER asking for our check and finally got up from our table to stand near the kitchen to receive our checks. Another 10 min later they brought the checks out. They were so mixed up and scattered that we decided to cut our losses and just pay so that we could get out. We had to as again after yet another 10 min while they âwere working on itâ to run our credit cards. They came back having added an additional $10 to two of our cards. Incompetence and terrible service combined with mediocre food will cause me to never return and to warn all of you. If you are dying for average Asian food - order it to go and prepare to wait when you pick it up.Hi there,I wanted to reach out to you personally regarding your recent review. Tasty, with an extensive menu, but perhaps a bit too popular? As the evening got busier, the service definitely waned. The food was flavorful, and more than enough to share. We are glad that you enjoyed some of the menu items that we have. Aspen can be a difficult place to staff accordingly. We do the best we can to make sure we are prepared for the evening and reservations. Sometimes we are a little understaff based on walk in business. We will work on making sure we more correctly staffed.

This is our kids favorite for Buttermilk. The place offers regular fare of good quality burgers/etc, but also some specialties like Pho and Mongolian BBQ done to order, with a large selection of veggies, protein, and grain to be thrown into the personalized mix. Salmon with rice was a hit with one of my kids as well. A good place for lunch.

We went to Kenichi ro have a special dinner with food that is different. We are so happy we chose Kenichi! The food is amazing (especially the Dynamite Shrimp) but the service is even better. Our server Zack was the best. He was friendly, attentive and actually listened to us and made great recommendations. Thank you for an amazing dinner!

Casual. Very casual. And you'll be amazed at the fabulous menu, and the superb flavors. No bar, so take that into account. Stop for a drink before, and after. But go and enjoy the aromas and tastes that come from their buns, the pho, and their skewers. Can't wait to go back!

Family Style Japanese and Sushi Bar
The food at Maru was absolutely wonderful. We had the Yellowtail Grapefruit with Ponzu Sauce and Serrano Pepper sashimi preparation and I FELT MOVED by the flavor. It was beautiful. Our table shared asparagus tempura, crispy spicy tuna roll, and a spicy salmon roll which were all solid choices. Next, we each chose a specialty roll. We had a Maru Roll, Sensai Roll, Killer 82 Roll, and a JEMZ Chan Roll. Again, I felt like crying while eating the JEMZ Chan Roll - it was so delicate yet flavorful - just perfect. The Sensai Roll was a close runner up. We finished the night with four different flavors of mochi (Green Tea, Passionfruit, Espresso, and Chocolate Chip). Each were outstanding. The head chef and owner visited our table and was happy to discuss the food. This is a special special place!!!
