We are 'foodies' and recently moved to the region. We first thought that we give this Thai restaurant in Heiden a chance as it has been recommended to us. We have now been three times and gladly can report that the food, the service and the ambiance are all top notch. The gai Satay, the meat and prawn dishes were all extraordinary and the recommended white Argentian wine (per glass) was outstanding as well. We will certainly be back many times and can recommend the Thai Ambiente restaurant without hesitation.

Great view from on of the tallest buildings in the area and they have an outside terrace. Had lunch time buffet. Soup was really tasty. Chicken satay and spring roll. Then several stir fry dishes so no danger of being hungry! Saw some a la carte dishes on another table which looked very tempting so will be back. Service with a Thai smile. :-)Buffet lunch was 14.90 swiss francs

Warm & nice staff, delicious flavors, nice presentation, generous meal, peaceful place, not expensive, you don't wait... Everything is simply perfect...It's a no-brainer... Just go...I experienced this restaurant with my wife and my young son, who was sleeping after few hours driving. A gentleman from the staff welcomed us and immediately helped us out with our sleeping child, by offering him a place to continue sleeping with pillows, by organizing for free (!) a take away meal (not spicy special) for later when he would wake up (with a spoon from the restaurant, not a plastic one)... Here, you immediately feel the family atmosphere... and the passion of the chef: there is a lot of work in your dish and the gentleman said: "Take as much rice as you want, it's included." Grouping all the details together, I don't think I've ever experienced such generosity and authentic niceness in a restaurant, thai or not...Talking about the meal (the most important after all), the chef is a magician... It's fresh, delicious, spicy, with a fantastic long, long aftertaste... No matter what you choose, the thai experience is at its best...Highly recommended...

I have been here several times and it's just always good quality food, fast and friendly service and a cosy atmosphere. You can sit with the elder turkish gents, watching there football match or you can choose one of those lovely decorated tables. And no matter how many of your friends join you, they always make room for them. The outside seating is quite special as you sit close to the railroad tracks & train station and right next to a popular cycling route. However, because of this unique location there is always something happening. Grab a bite when you are in the area you definitely not regret it.
