Alaminos is classified as a 4th class city. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 89,708 people. The city was named after Juan Alaminos y de Vivar, former Governor-General of the Philippines.

We learned about this place from a TV show that included this resto grill when it featured a travel to Alaminos, Pangasinan. So we were excited that we found it just along the main highway. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with how our orders came out. One of the things we ordered was their grilled squid, and when it was served, it was so plain and didn't have any taste. We expected more based on the price. It's a nice place for local food, but nothing extraordinary. Or maybe their specialty dishes are much better. But we were only able to try about three dishes.

We went to Mon's buffet for Lunch & found the food average. The cuisines are basically fillipino. The cost is also not high.

Crews do not serve the food well. Orders might be served at another table beside you and let you pick them up yourself. Table napkins are so limited. Glasses and other utensils are not well cleaned (you can notice the solidifying lard on cold drinks). Should you raise the issues among the managers, they do not care. Expect incriminatory remarks like "maarte" if you raise complaints. Tables are not sanitized, too. Do not expect the optional choice of chicken parts. You shall but be insulted.

The Food was great, very reasonable price, and the staff was very friendly, we had lunch there and came back later for dinner, I think that says it all!!!

Having lunch by the sea is a great experience. They have group meals which were enough for the number of people stated. For the budget conscious, don't forget to add 10% service charge on the bill computation. And, veer away from their fried food which I think is quite expensive and has small portions (but yummy). On the otherhand, their soup dishes like bulalo and local noodles have generous servings.
