Food very good, male manager moved us twice and spent the rest of his time with some customers that were clearly friends of his. He was not interested in assisting other customers and continually shouted at the chef, which made us all feel uncomfortable. We would definitely return for the food, but not for the service we all received !!As a fully Licensed Buisness we have by Law have CCTV that covers every pary of our Building inside and outside. That said we after reading this review that was placed a long time after comeing to us. We then very carefully looked back at our coverage of this visit complete with sound. and cannot find whatsoever at any point on that evening that the Manager ( Waiter ) shouted let alone raised his vioce at the Chef.Due to seating arangments some People were asked very Politely if they would move to alternate seating. unless the CCTV is wrong.Having spoken to every customer that night there were no complants .in fact complements on the Service and Meals we provided. which did include some People we know .Trip advisor is a really good thing for a buisness. But! one someone writes something that is incorrect for what ever reason all being it can be from a competitor etc it can have a bad effect.Regards this reviewer Dont come back.Manager

My husband and I visited the Gulshan on a Saturday evening when visiting for the local park motorcycle races. It was around 9pm and the restaurant was reasonably busy. We were quickly seated and our orders taken. We opted for for poppadoms and pickle tray and main courses only due to the time of night. We'd just finished our poppadoms and our main courses arrived - my husband had a tikka masala which he said was tasty but a little sickly compared to our usual indian restaurant. I had a Chicken tikka Bhoona - there was plenty of chicken and it was delicious however the sauce was lacking in taste and luke warm. The portions are quite small but I think the prices reflect that so on the whole not an issue. On the whole the service was good, including a waiter holding the door and bidding you goodbye on leaving (as he did with every customer) but the food is not great. Completely edible but nothing special! When back in the town next year think we'd try another indian if there is one?! :)
I have frequented Pagoda for many years. I think today may have been the last. Had a delivery from here two weeks ago, it was not up to usual standard but thought it may be a one-off. Had a delivery again today, it was awful! All portions seemed smaller than usual, the containers still had plenty of room in them. It was all freezing, just like last time. It all had to be warmed in microwave. The chicken was poor, the chicken Chinese style didn't even look anything like the usual one (which was always my favourite) It was all bland! Chips were only half full in the bag, and where extremely soggy. Curry sauce was only three quarters full and you could stand a spoon in it, it was so thick. I could go on and on. Most of it went in the bin... Yuk!

I've lived in Bangladesh and craved real Bengali tastes: the manager happily obliged and created me a terrific traditional meal with delicious lamb and vegetables and dahl: in Bangladesh dahl is always present and put on top of everything else! This was first quality food along with smiling service! A great place to have dinner!
