U and I Thai is a downtown restaurant located in a former bank building that has been transformed into a spacious, charming dining room. The service is delightfully attentive and friendly, and the food is wonderful. Heat is medium - just ask if you want your dish to be spicier. We highly recommend eating here. Please don't be put off by the slope of the parking lot. You can find plenty of street parking in the area, and your meal will be well worth it.

I was in the area doing some work and I decided try Japanese nearby. Decent sashimi, but a bit average compared to other places in the Lower Mainland. The pieces are a bit smaller than my usual go-to places. Although Toro Sashimi and Tuna Sashimi are the same price, my toro dish is just regular tuna, not tuna belly.

This restaurant has quickly become our favorite place in abbotsford. The chicken is incredible. It's very tender and the rest of the food just tastes very fresh and put together. Their plating and presentation is always very well done and the staff is welcoming and remembers their regulars.

As with some of the other reviews for Little Saigon it wasn't so much the food that impacted the experience it was the waiting. We stood at the front door without being greeted--which, if the place was packed I'd be fine with. There were multiple tables empty and the staff around the kitchen & server's station glanced our way and then went about their work. It wasn't until we edged further into the restaurant (another couple came in behind us) that someone greeted us. Once seated there was a wait for tea and our order to be taken. And then there was a longer than expected wait for the food. The quality check happened when we were 3/4 finished our meal and the quickest part of the customer service experience was the presentation of the bill. None of this is an outright condemnation of the restaurant as a whole...it just really took the shine off of the experience. The food was good--but it really didn't stand out from other Vietnamese cuisine we've had. The décor and ambiance feels like you're meant to come in, eat and be on your way. This was, for me, an average dining experience. I'd give it another shot unless there was an alternative close by.

This restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall. We ordered the dinner for two and it was all very good. The dinner consisted of Vietnamese spring rolls, hot pot soup, lemon chicken and rice. There was plenty of food. We especially liked the soup. It was hot and spicy but not too spicy and had 6 good sized prawns, tomatoes and beansprouts in a really flavourful broth. The only problem that we had was that all the food was brought out at the same time. The table was very crowded. We would like to have been served the spring rolls first, the soup next and the lemon chicken and rice last â appetizer, soup and then entrée rather than everything being brought out at once. They have no desserts so we went to Dairy Queen across the way for ice cream.I would like to try some of their other dishes next time.

Have dined here several times and the food is consistently delicious. A word of warning though...it is ALWAYS crowded in here, a testimonial to the quality. Unsure if they allow reservations.Our group of 7 ordered a dinner for six, and there was food leftover at the end of it all. Great value!

Yes, the very favourable reviews are true!! Both my wife and I enjoyed the noodle bowls with pork and prawns. The balance between the noodles, bean sprouts/lettuce and pork/prawns was perfect. The atmosphere was inviting and the staff that were serving us were very quick and efficient. My wife was so impressed, that next time we are in Abbotsford, she wants to try some of the other inviting menu items.
