Protea is a fast casual fun environment with high quality food made with fresh local ingredients in the heart of Yountville's culinary mecca. We serve beer and wine and rooftop dining with great views of the Napa Valley
Looked up places to eat lunch while doing some wine tastings at nearby wineries, and this place stood out so we decided to try it! We got empanadas, mozzarella sticks, and a taquito. All came out really fast. Everything is made in house. We asked for hot sauce and they gave us homemade salsa verde and what seemed like pickled habanero relish - both were delicious. Would definitely go back if we found ourselves in the area. Friendly staff and outside seating as well.

Hard to say enough good things about this place. The ambience is breathtaking. The food was outstanding ( we had arugula salad, crispy artichokes, and chicken/salmon). The service was great. I am sure the French Laundry next-door is more famous, but RH is truly outstanding. Leave time for a stroll!

True to its name, âAddendumâ is an addition or footnote to Ad Hoc, Chef Thomas Keller's casual American restaurant serving a daily- changing four-course menu. Addendum, located behind Ad Hoc in the garden, serves boxed lunches to-go or to enjoy on picnic
this "take out" spot behind the notorious Ad Hoc restaurant is a gem! Do not miss the chance to have their fried chicken for lunch. Picnic tables and their wine selection just add to this casual experience.

Ad Hoc is Chef Thomas Keller's casual dining venue for showcasing the American comfort food of his childhood. The daily-changing four-course menu, featuring classic dishes like fried chicken, pot roast and barbeque, is handwritten nightly on chalkboards t
Let me start by apologizing to those who wrote poor reviews earlier. I judged you. You were right!!! My husband and I were greeted by dismissive hostesses. Ok, that happens. They were busy. Our waiter was very personable and kind. (This was the one good point of the evening.) Next, the food that was supposed to be amazing... it wasnât. The chopped salad was good, not amazing. The fried chicken (that is supposed to be the superstar dish of AdHoc) was good, not amazing. Those two points are the only highlights of the entire four course meal. The rest (sides, cheese board, dessert) were only passable - at best! Truly, the chocolate cake tasted like a baked good you might get from a bad gas station. They would have done better to serve Little Debbies! I am taking the time to write this simply because my husband and I sat there and thought, âoh my goodness, people have paid so much money to eat here, they have convinced themselves itâs worth it.â IT ISNT! (Thus, âThe Emperorâs New Clothesâ)Final note, I said my husband and I âthoughtâ this because it was so loud thereâs no way we could have chatted about it! Seriously. We left laughing. We felt like we had just been the very bad end of a very bad joke. It was that bad. (Oh, there was a cute pig in the waiting area. -photo included )

We were just passing through Napa on a drive from San Fran to Tahoe and decides to pick a spot for a bite to eat.Sandwiches here were freshly made, the right amount of filling and most importantly tasty. Ideal for either a sit down meal or if on the go.

We were really impressed with the food and service here. The bartender comped our drinks because he thought we had waited too long (we hadnât) and they were very accommodating by just giving us 1/2 the meatball appetizer and splitting the caccio de Pepe between my wife and I as we wanted a light meal. Meatballs alone are worth a visit.

We arrived and thought âwow - what a beautiful restaurantâ. The outdoor tap and bar was awesome and the restaurant had a lot of buzz inside. Really pretty restaurant. But...as we ordered what were described as the specialties (Thai tuna roll, chicken sandwich), we both kind of looked at each other and finally said âthis food is beautifully presented, but it doesnât have much, if any taste. It was disappointing in that the expectation was for it to be exceptional.

The food was fantastic, but outside was empty (inside busier)...very slow.....They also only have half chicken as do many restaurants in Napa...a waste, to end up throwing in the garbage. For a town so interested in paper straws and recycling...why would they want food tossed into waste.
