During a beautifully scenic drive we lucked upon this diner near Lake Isabella. Great service from very friendly locals and good wholesome food to accompany it. Highly recommended if youâre on the road. If youâre a local you will already know how good this place is!!

Arrived to see a recently decorated venue, which I must say was nicely decorated. However, that's where the niceness ended. The staff were not very welcoming or smiley throughout the entire stay.I ordered a stack of pancakes, and the Eggs Benedict. To my disappointment, the hollandaise sauce was runny, a lot browner than I've ever seen one, and tasted like nothing I've ever tasted before. It was disgusting. The pancakes were also a big disappointment; they were so dry that when I lifted my fork to my mouth they would just crumble/disintegrate mid air! Having mentioned this to my (local) friend, they said that they would have recommended I eat elswhere, had I asked him.Anyways, long story short, if you have low standards as far as food taste goes, then by all means check this place out. If on the other hand, you like good tasting food with comparable standards of service, then seek out somewhere else!

Had a burger here 2 years ago wile traveling, it was great. This time around we had breakfast. It was fine, we had french toast, nothing fancy, not the best I ever had, but still enjoyable. Add the view sitting at a window booth... can't beat it.

Needed a cup of coffee after a long drive into town. Ordered a double espresso cappuccino and a hot chocolate for the GF. Hot chocolate was basically hot unflavored MILK, they forgot the chocolate. The coffee was equally unacceptable and quickly ended up in a nearby trashcan. I really don't understand the good reviews. Take a chance if you want.

Paradise Cove has been one of the best dining experiences in the Lake Isabella/Kern Valley area for years. In an era of fast food, this dining experience offers good food, at a reasonable price, in an upscale atmosphere. The service is prompt and friendly also. The prime rib special is the highlight of their menu.

This is one of my must go to places every time I visit Kernville. It seems we always end up here due to the fishing not going the way we like it to. But it's a great place to go to when you're looking for a good steak and the black bean soup is a definite must have .The service has always been really good , helpful, and friendly . They really seem to go out of their way to accommodate your request. McNally's has recently gone through a change of ownership and all we can hope for is that it will be, just as good as ever. Only time will tell.

This was my family's 4th visit to this restaurant which sits high on a bluff above the Kern River and it continues to delight. The quality of the food and its presentation are excellent. We ordered a ribeye, chicken tenders, and a chicken fried steak and all were very good. The restaurant was packed so it took a bit of time for the food to come out but it was worth the wait. The service was worthy of 5 stars.

Itâs been several years since we have been here at Kern River Brewing Co. and I really donât know why because itâs a great place. I had a side salad and chili and my husband had fish and chips. Pros: My chili was thick and excellent. My husbands fish had a great taste. The decor is fitting for a brewery Cons: My husbands fish wasnât crispy it was a little on the soggy side and the breading fell off the fish. My salad was good but too many bell peppers for my taste. ( each to their own )Would I recommend it - you betcha. Will I come back- you betcha.

Breakfast at Cheryl's was a much needed pleasant surprise after our night at the Kernville Inn. Welcoming, friendly, spotlessly clean and obviously a local favourite. Servings were very generous; coffee was great and kept topped up, and we both enjoyed our meals very much. Pretty much the highlight of our visit to Kernville, which is a small and neatly kept village.
