Our men's group eats here regularly. Everything is good, and the service is swift and cheery. Whoever is cooking in the back puts up some great specials. Check 'em out. Love this place!

Open for breakfast and lunch, 5am - 2pm. Near Huber's market and the Concord Bus Line. Very wonderful, true Maine diner. Wonderful
This place is for sale first off. No AC or at least not enough ... I ordered eggs - sausage - hashbrowns coffee and a toasted bagel. The eggs were mushed into little pebble like things. The hashbrowns were ok (hard to ruin those). 2 sausage patties - both were black on one side and rosy pink on the other and all of the moisture (pork fat) had been incinerated from them. Lastly, the bagels were about 2 inches in diameter, and I took a bite of one of the halves and it shattered into crumbs in my hand. This is no exageration. I also ordered bacon for the puppy but it never made it to the table (or the order either - they didn't hear me? Fair enough). The bill was $10.00 and I left them a $3.00 gratuity (0) purely an act of mercy.I may go back. They need our help. [sic]

Met friends during the holidays for a celebration. Reservations a must. Elegant decorations. Pricey. Food is extremely ordinary. Was extremely disappointed as we all got dressed up and expected more. I am so sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your dining experience with us. Please help us out and tell us what we can do differently. Everyone's taste buds are different and we respect your opinion. We'd love to know what you had from our menu that you found it so ordinary and then maybe we can improve on it the next time. My husband is a long time chef trained in Switzerland, and has worked in many fine restaurants over the years including the Four Seasons and the Sea Grill in Rockefeller Center just to name a few.Hopefully you'll give us another chance and try us again.

I was on vacation with my mom and looking for a place that might have more locals than tourists. This was definitely it. The menu is very extensive, there is something for everyone but I recommend keeping it simple and ordering the soup bar. The haddock chowder was excellent, there are also 2 other daily soups to choose from and a wide variety of breads to go with it. We also tried the lobster roll, haddock crab filet and blueberry pie. Everything was excellent. Service can be a bit slow but for the most part the staff was friendly and it was worth the wait. Grab a drink, check out the view, relax and have some patience and you'll do just fine.

Under new ownership. We are open 7 days a week from 5am-2pm. Breakfast served all day. All meals are home made and large portions served.
This small local diner is time worn and shabby on the outside, but don't let that stop you! The food is delicious. My husband and I stopped while driving up the coast. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had the best corned beef hash that I have ever eaten. They are homemade. There is a hint of allspice in them I think. Our over easy eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband had a special for the day-to-day Texas hash which is ahash made with sirloin tips. ThereWith my breakfast I had a grilled biscuit. Another reason to come here. The prices are moderately priced in keeping with the quality of the food.My only complaint....They need to improve their coffee. In this day and age ,there is no reason to serve mediocre coffee. It was weak and nearly flavorless. It certainly won't keep me from returning. I will order something else to drink.

This little fast food/take out place had the best fried seafood and onion rings that we had during our whole trip to Maine! The inside is sparkling clean and fashionably decorated (looks like a recent remodel). The fried clams were especially good, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. Nothing was overly greasy or oily. The staff are very friendly. We enjoyed this $35 meal as much as (or more than) some of the $100+ meals we had during our trip. Highly recommend this little unassuming gem.

My wife and I stopped at Sprague's for lunch. The lines at Red's across the road were way too long. We ordered twin lobsters and shared fries. The lobster was sweet and tender. The fries are hand-cut and wonderful! Prices were reasonable. They don't take credit cards -- which is the case for most lobster shacks along the road. But the service was friendly and reasonably quick. They do charge $2 to "rent" crackers for cracking the lobster claws . . . . but it is refundable when you return them to the order window. We would definitely go back!

Once again, my husband and I had an amazing dinner. We called two nights before and got a reservation (lucky us!). I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the shrimp scampi. Mine was one of the best meals I've ever had. Fresh ingredients, beautifully served...just delicious. We had the carrot cake for dessert and it may have been one of the best carrot cake's I've had! This little gem is our absolute favorite and so happy it's close!
