had some guest visiting from out of town and as they wanted some authentic NOLA cuisine, i took them to this dependable neighborhood restaurant. the kitchen always does a very good job of presenting typical new orleans cuisine highlighting local seafood. we all enjoyed our meal. service was good and helpful in describing the selections for the visitors. pricing is fair. all credit cards are accepted.

We enjoyed our dinner here very much, especially certain dishes. The fried calamari with spicy sauce was the best calamari I've ever tasted. Chocolate budino dessert also excellent, likewise squash parmesan. The fish almondine with potato galette was delicious but suffered from a common fault: it was too rich, there was butter in everything on the plate. The style and ambience of this place is very pleasant, and being there mid-week there was no problem with noise as others have mentioned. Service very competent and friendly. Prices are upscale: expect to spend $150 for two full meals with a glass of wine, If that's in your budget, this is a good choice.

Palace of po'boys. Family owned and operated for over 100+years, starting in 1918 as a bar and dev'd into cooking plate lunches for longshoremen and river front workers. Shrimp, oyster, ro. beef, sausage. Leidenheimer bread. Surf and Turf (combo shrimp and beef). A little off the beaten path but well worth the travel.

Upperline Restaurant is New Orleans, LA's local haven where tasty Louisiana cuisine, serious wine, and Creole hospitality is always served.
Owner Joanne is a treasure and her restaurant is to die for. Foie gras c'est magnifique, peartinis delicious, veal medalions in a sumptuous sauce, duck with a garlic/port sauce...yum. Our waiter Gabriel was fabulous. Away from the hubub it's worth the trip as Mr. Deniro and Mr. Bezos have found it too.

This out of the way place was suggested to us by a local, we were looking for good local food, nothing fancy. Between the five of us we probably ordered everything that was suggested to us by our server Paula and were impressed by everything. The food was good, the portions were large and the service was fabulous, definitely worth the drive out of the downtown core, we will be back!

Mission To provide our guests with a meticulously selected and unexpectedly diverse assortment of perfectly ripe cheeses, charcuterie, and gourmet grocery items. Our menu has been carefully built with contemporary and European style sandwiches, salads and
St. James is a meat and cheese market in Uptown that offers sandwiches, cheese plates, salads, and other light dishes. Their cheese selection is outstanding, even for New Orleans. You can either select your cheeses and meats or allow the employees to craft a plate for you. They have porch seating, interior seating, and an outdoor courtyard, offering a variety of atmospheres and experiences depending on the weather. The cheese plates can be a bit expensive for just one person. In my opinion, the best thing to do here is to come with three or four other people and all share a big cheese plate and a bottle of wine before a bigger dinner. It is very reasonably priced for this.

This was our first time trying this NOLA staple and want disappointed. They have unique flavors along with every cream flavor under the sun. Itâs a must if youâre in town. Sorry totally forgot to take a picture of the actual snowball lol

This is a NOLA classic with perfect service and perfect food. We had a reservation and were seated right away despite it being crowded. The drinks were perfect and the started came quick and were some of the best. The Red Fish was perfectly prepared and I even enjoyed some bread pudding. We even saw the Manning's!

Excellent breakfast, reasonably priced and the service was super! We had a selection, omelette, eggs with salmon, and the fried pancake balls. The grits were as good as we have ever had, even in Texas. Small place but worth a short wait.
