It was hopping on Friday night. We were able to get a table and came for the fish fry. You get nice size pieces, but it wasn't seasoned at all. The fires weren't either. The 3 of us all ordered fish and it was all not seasoned as if someone forgot to put it in the batter. The fish itself was nice and flaky. I never add salt to anything and had to put a lot on my fish and fries.

The food is slop....the worst. All four of us had food that could not be forced down. We got credit for one...no questions asked. Never would we go back there to give it another try.

Our group of eight received excellent service, and everyone enjoyed his or her food. That some dishes were infused with chocolate was a happy novelty surprise enjoyed by everyone. The cocoa-nibs-crusted Great Lakes Whitefish was a hit with most of us, but the beef eaters among us also enjoyed their meals. A custom-ordered, gluten-free four-layer dark chocolate torte dessert was spectacular!

I use to live in Waukegan and I loved all the food from Emily's Pancake house they have a very good selection, I was very pleased with there service, very friendly staff. I fell in love with the Greek skillet was the very best! Their prices are a little bit more then other breakfast places but it's worth paying extra!

We were greated with a pleasant smile. Asked if we would like to try a sample. We had a very good chicken Philly cheese steak Sandwich. And the boys loved the fries. Great portion sizes and delicious food. Our taste buds were confused because the cheesecake filling is scooped like icecream. 5 stars from The Grandma Team.

Excellent Traditional Family Restaurant. Waukegan's oldest institution. They have hot buttered bread they generously place upon your table. The pizza and Broasted chicken are awesome. Every entree and salad is perfectly plated for your visual and enjoyment.

This is a diamond in the rough and needs to be discovered - no further polishing necessary. This is a perfect BBQ place ... casual as can be. I wish it were a bit larger - nowhere to allow the long line at lunch to stand (but a positive testament to its popularity.) I recommend it 100%, but you should call ahead ... occasionally, they are closed when they would normally be open. Perhaps this is just personal experience and I happened to go but found them closed - just saying. We had the rib tip special that day ... I happened to be at the front of the line before ordering, saw the rib tips, asked what that was and HAD to have it! I'm sure every other thing on the menu is just as great.

Local restaurant with an ecclectic menu: bar food, pizza, greek, Italian. They have TVs with sports Games throughout. I ordered the lemon chicken soup. I do not recommend this. it tasted like a can of cream of chicken soup and there was hardly any rice in it. The rice must have all absorbed into the soup. I should have tasted it prior, but it was not a good soup.
