Very disappointed with the grinder that I had. Very chintzy with the ingredients. Did not live up to the moniker of "Best Italian deli in Connecticut.". Way too much hype for my money. Too many better grinder places in the Waterbury area.Huskies74,Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed in your experience with us. We care deeply about our customers and it always makes us sad to hear when someone isn't satisfied. We appreciate your feedback and we do hope that you'll try us again. A group of us were in the area for a sporting event and I had called L Restaurant to make a reservation. My first impression was very good! The person I spoke to was pleasant and efficient. When we arrived on the Saturday evening, our table was ready and every member of staff we interacted with proved to be delightful. Our server was attentive and the food was delicious; freshly prepared and just perfect. Two members of our party had particular dietary needs but this did not prove to be a problem as every effort was made to ensure that their food was prepared to the same high standard.I chose this restaurant because of the positive reviews, which, in my opinion, are well deserved. If we were in the area again, we would definitely return!

We had a great breakfast at Leo's, but the trip advisor filters and menu say they have lots of gluten free. The only thing we could get though was french toast. Other than that though, the menu is very extensive and food tastes like i made it at home...and I mean that in a good way.

This place has consistently good food and very good prices. Service is super friendly and efficient, but the place really needs a makeover. Dark, drab and almost uninviting....but very clean!!! So don't let the decor turn you off. Greek style pizza, thick crust, crusty on the bottom, somewhat over-cheesed. But when you order a topping, you get plenty. Salads are delicious and very large, with lots of extras on them, not just lettuce. And the burgers are huge and come with some of the best onion rings around. In-town people....you know where it is. Out-of-towners, stop in...i'ts right off I-84 and will fuel you up for your long wait in traffic at the Waterbury interchange. Check it out.

San Marino's is a family run and operated restaurant that's been serving classic Southern Italian cuisine for almost 5 decades. Open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner. Full service bar and outdoor dining available. Bring the kids, too!
Nina and I, along with eight family members, enjoyed dinner at San Marino on the day after Thanksgiving. What a good time we had. Nina called in reservations, and we were seated immediately. The waitstaff was very attentive and quick to make appropriate suggestions where needed. As an example, I asked for a side of hot Italian Sausage, well, they had only sweet available. That's ok. I had a sweet Italian Sausage on the side of my Cheese Ravioli. This was served with salad and warm bread. I had an ice cold Budweiser, too. This restaurant is nice and comfortable for groups of all sizes. We've been here many times, and for many different reasons. This is one of Waterbury's finest restaurants.I rate San Marino with five stars. Please do come and enjoy this restaurant. you will not be disappointed.

The food, drinks and service are excellent. When dining on an evening that is not so busy, the experience is very enjoyable. However, during busy times it becomes a different situation. They try to pack as many tables as possible in their dining room and it becomes very crowded and noisy very quickly. If this doesn't bother you, that's great. If it does, schedule your reservation during non-peak times and you will have a wonderful experience.

Group of 10 celebrating New Year's Eve...reservations for 8 pm. Took a while to have our drink order taken. Waitress tells us it will probably be awhile as the bartender is overwhelmed...one bartender (ut oh)! Drinks arrived after a while...ok at best...lemon drop martini made incorrectly, a drink we didn't order was served...no big deal...we were ready to celebrate...dinner didn't arrive until 10:30 pm after telling us that all the surf & turf dinners that were ordered had to be modified, as they ran out of shrimp...I ended up with salmon that was very, very dry...no rub/sauce with fish...steak was very thin...like it had to be cut to make several pieces. It was our 3rd year for New Year's Eve & sadly, our last. In the end, I had 2 drinks, a meal that was not even satisfactory & my husband & I paid over $200 as our portion of the bill. It was very disappointing & nothing like the previous 2 years. The waitress kept apologizing but the fault lies in your kitchen/bartending staff (or lack of sufficient staff).

We went in on a Friday and it was crowded, but we were seated within 5 minutes. The food was delicious and nice size servings. Our waitress (Claudia) was phenomenal- we told her we wanted to take our time and she was great with that. She kept checking on us - ordered drinks and apps, then gave us time before putting in our order. She took the time to chat with us and joke around, and didnât try to rush us out.We will definitely be going back!!Thank you,LarryD

I always try to eat local when traveling and found this grinder shop on TripAdvisor. Hefty and tasty sandwiches as well as other great menu items. The Italian Combo was very good but next time I will add hot peppers. Fresh crusty bread with plenty of meat. Even at around $10 this full sized sandwich is a very good value compared to the. Chains and their substandard ingredients? I recommend you check it out!Hi Jonathan,We're so glad you found us and decided to give us a try! Our Italian Combo Grinder is a classic, and hot peppers would be a tasty addition for sure. We appreciate your business and hope to serve you again soon. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a nice review!Grazie,Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe
