My wife and I were driving to a seminar in Warren, so, we decided to stop for breakfast. The parking lot was full. (a good sign) But since the interior is large there were plenty of tables. We sat in Annie's section. She was at our table seconds after being seated to take our drink selection which, of course, was coffee. I was pleasantly surprised when I took my first sip. The coffee was full bodied with a good aroma. I believe it was a blend of medium and dark roasted beans...delicious. The menu has a wide variety of selections which include a Senior's menu. I ordered a breakfast burrito. When it was served I could not believe how large it was. Normally, I think of a burrito as being an inch or two in diameter but this was almost four. It was raped in a thicker flour tortilla and loaded with eggs, meats onions peppers and cheese. Wow. Needless to say, I requested a large take home box. My wife had the usual meat, eggs and toast. She had the pancakes in substitution for the potatoes. She was very complimentary about the pancakes. I was especially pleased with the whole wheat toast which was definitely in house made. They do not grill the toast which is my preferred preparation. Annie is a great waitress. Always checking on us to make sure everything was to our liking. I over heard her ask the bus boy to clear the booth next to us, as she was expecting one of her regulars. He was an elder gentelman and she took very good care of him. It's great to be a regular in Annie's section. Since Friar's is also a bakery, we purchased a loaf of multi grain white bread and a loaf of french on our way out. The multi grain was cut thicker than store bought and made exceptionally good grilled cheese sandwiches.

I have been away from Michigan and moved back. Mr. Paul's is one of the few true Detroit restaurants left on the east side.Steaks are excellent [I recommend the porterhouse] and service is still above average. Mr. Paul is on premises most of the time overseeing the food and service.

A typical sports bar next to my hotel but delicious homemade food! Had two experiences--one I went to them; one they delivered. Despite the nearly zero degree temperature, my delicious meatloaf was still hot! Reasonable prices, quality fare!!

This place is the best if you like cooking just your Mom and Grandma used to do. Fresh, warm baked rolls, soup with the just the right amount of seasoning and the main course of your choice always delicious! We've never had a bad meal OR bad service. And we always leave with a To- Go container because they give you enough food that there's more for the next day.

I found Juliano's while on a business trip to Warren, MI. Read some reviews that made me hesitate. I considered this to be one the best meals I've had on recent travels. To begin the waitress was there quickly and was very pleasant and helpful. She took my order and quickly returned with my drink and some warm breadsticks that were fabulous. Then the Ceasar salad came and was outstanding. Had a different but nice dressing. Then my steak was served that tasted Great! Seasoning added to the flavor. Too much good food, but I enjoyed.

Italian American Restaurant and Pizzeria Since 1964, Family Friendly, Catering On-Site or Off-Site. Full service bar and friendly servers. All Soups and Sauces are made in house from scratch. All meats are hand trimmed and seasoned to perfection in house.
Older restaurant had a very friendly staff. Our waitress suggested a few meals from different sections of the menu. We followed her recommendations. The chicken A La Firenze was nicely seasoned and served with a spicy dipping sauce. Chicken Parmesan was also a very good suggestion. The table next to us ordered fried cheese cake for dessert which looked very good. The table said the cheesecake was perfection. Thanks for the great review.

Enough for a happy hour.I was there twice during the week I stayed in Detroit and the restaurant really pleased me.Actually, there is no a large variety of foods on menu, on the other hand you can expect an amazing environment, good treatment by the waiter group and delicious Irish foods.Overall, it's really a kind of authentic British put placed at Van Dyke Avenue, which may offer a good option for happy hour.Thank you for the 4 star review. We had just arrived in the area and had had an early flight. Needed coffee and food badly. The Pantry was recommended by our hotel front desk. This place was fabulous. Don't let the long line out the door deter you. The wait is quick. The food was excellent with very large portions. The bottomless cup of coffee was one of the best I have had in a long time. And the service? Top notch and friendly from the minute you walk in the door. Loved Lisa. Don't miss this place. It's a keeper! We will definitely be returning within the week we are here.

We all enjoyed our breakfast. The service was good, A great family restaurant, there was lots to choose from the breakfast menu. The atmosphere was that of an 50's diner. It seemed to be popular because the restaurant was very busy. We had breakfast but others were ordering from the luncheon menu. We will be back.
