Reviews on American food in Vatican City, Lazio, Italy. Sure, Vatican City is tiny—110 acres—but it houses the world's largest Catholic church (St. Peter's Basilica) and has perhaps the best collection of artistic masterpieces in the world (the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo's Pieta, the Laocoon Group, etc.). And maybe only 800 people live here, but one of them's the Pope. It's a pretty good argument for quality over quantity.

As other reviewers of this restaurant stated, we were looking for something other than the pizza/pasta of Rome (though it is delicious), and stumbled across Burger Bistro. What drew us in was that we had a hankering for burgers, and the positive reviews, as well as the ease of making a reservation online. We got to the restaurant in plenty of time, and were greeted immediately. I don't know if reservations are necessary, as there was only one other family there when we arrived, BUT, we are American, and enjoy eating dinner earlier than all of Italy, it seems, so I could see that it would be a good idea later in the night, as the restaurant is on the smallish side. We made our selections quickly: a bacon cheeseburger for both my children, an Italian burger for my sister, and a chicken burger for myself. The burgers are ala carte, so we ordered sides of fries, onion rings, and a side salad to share. Our drinks came quickly (Lagunitas for my sister, Hefeweisen for me, and Sprite for both kids), and dinner arrived in good time. There is a sign on the wall stating that all orders are cooked, "Sous Vide", and can take longer-it didn't matter to us. We usually come with our "Patience Pants" on. The burgers were a good size, and the fries came with enough to share. The onion rings and salad, not so much. For 3,50 euro, we were hoping they were a bit larger, though the onion rings were cooked perfectly, and the salad was perfectly dressed-we just wanted more for the money. The prices are reasonable, and the food delicious! I would definitely recommend visiting. The only unfortunate thing was that a lot of the dishes that we wanted to try that featured fish were not available-maybe due to availability. They all sounded so yummy, but we didn't leave disappointed. It just means we will have to come back the next time we are in Rome :)

We were staying 100 meters from Knick Knack Yoda and it was our last stop on the home every night. This is a very different kind of bar.Its like home away from home.Everyone is so friendly. The Staff and the regular customers make you feel so welcome. The owner Pierre was really nice. The burgers were big and tasty. The baked potato was really good. The best thing about this little gem of a bar was the really cool atmosphere. You can just sit here.Have a few drinks and chill.
