I have enjoyed many nights in this bar run by a cool cat named Jai Dee. Music is good and one will likely meet some interesting people there. It also tends to stay open an hour or more longer than Sakura or Gary's.

All the restaurants in Vang Vieng serve just about the same food at the same price. I'm recommending this one in particular because the night we went there we had three very different dishes: one thai-style fried pork with rice, one baguette-pizza and a lao dish and all were pretty good and overall better than our previous experiences in Vang Vieng.

Popped into Vanphaxay Restaurant for a late lunch. We both had wonderfully fresh baguettes with a soft drink.Service was quick and friendly, prices were cheap and, as mentioned, the views are unbeatable.Wished we'd had time to visit in the evening also.

We are a vegetarian couple and of course we were pleased to find out that in Vang Vieng we could find some nice options. We tried falafel in different places (and it's quite expensive here, I have to say, comparing to India or even Russia) and finally we discovered this amazing Viva kebab. It's a street food joint so the prices are super affordable + REALLY tasty falafel (in other places we tried it was really bland). Also I ventured to try chips (I eat this kind of food quite seldom), but I was suprised by the taste and asked the owner how they cooked'em, and he told they peel and cut fresh potatoes every day! That's fantastic. Ok, to cut that long story short, we chose this place for our everyday dinner option and still are really happy with the service and the taste. The food they serve consists of western and asian cuisine. the connected hostel doesn't serve free breakfast but can order at the restaurant for an affordable price plus free drink. sometimes i get too lazy to go out so I usually have lunch and dinner here. the carbonara and beef burger are my favorite along with the mango juice. can't get enough of the food here. totally would come eat here again

Doesnât take long from wherever you are in town to walk to Aussie bar. The staff were pleasant and food was delivered quick. After looking at reviews I ordered the chicken parmigiana (39,000) and it didnât disappoint! It was huge! And very tasty. My partner had a burger (30,000 or so) which he was a little disappointed with, only because he loves a burger but we are from England and they do burgers differently from Australia (we travelled there for a few months so knows his Aussie burgers!) Althogether we had two meals and three drinks (non alcoholic) and our bill was less than 100,000. Very happy and free WiFi too.
