Met a friend for breakfast. We meet every few months. Food is good, service is good. It has plenty of seating and can be very busy on Sundays. They have a very good selection of omelette choices. I have not eaten here enough to offer 5 star, but has the potential.

While certainly not the best prepared meals, the quality is just good enough. Despite the lackluster meals (I guess we expected more when we read home cooking and made from scratch), there are many positive attributes to make it worth coming in: excellent waitstaff service; cool, âold schoolâ atmosphere; lot of history. Interesting with all the animal heads looking at you!! (See photo). If youâre looking for a solid simple meal, McDonnells is your ticket.

I've bumped up my rating to "5 Stars" since my last review. This is a wonderful establishment in Waymart. I believe the menu has expanded significantly since my last visit. Good menu selections; primarily a place for breakfast and lunch. On Friday and Saturday they're open until 8pm for dinner. Normally the restaurant closes at 3pm. The Mustard Seed provides fresh, locally procured food. Very high quality in both preparation and presentation. We recently had a delicious lunch of navy bean & kale soup, portobello mushroom plate, and beef stew. Cozy place and great service. A destination indeed and worth the short detour off Route 6.

Title sums up our last few home deliveries. Not sure what's happening @ Frank's, but the last few times we've ordered delivery our orders have been, well, off to say the least. Missing sides, appetizers and latest error ... no beets in a beet salad! How do you omit what seemingly would be the main ingredient? We called and they sent a replacement, as would be expected. We originally thought maybe we just missed them the first time, but nope. Replacement had nice layer of beets blanketing greens beneath sliced grilled chicken. Delicious. We order from here about once a month or two when we don't feel like going out but don't want to cook. Pricey takeout but quality makes up for that. Please pay attention to delivery orders for too many inconveniences may deter us from ordering in the future.

Just returned from our third visit to The Red School House. Mike and his staff once again hit it out of the park. Excellent food and service at very fair prices. Prime Rib was once again outstanding and the service was exceptional. Wish we had a place like this closer to where we live in Forty Fort. Yes, we traveled about an hour 10 minutes each way and was worth every minute we spent in the car.

My husband and I occasionally eat at Crystal Pines and always come away thinking we have had a great dinner. It is primarily Italian cuisine, although there are a few steaks and non Italian items on the menu. However, we usually choose something Italian. The salad is great. It is a simple lettuce with Italian dressing, but it comes with a dish of hot mixed vegetables such as peppers and cauliflower, to add to the salad. It is a delicious dish and makes the salad something special. Service is always very good and one is made to feel most welcome. Nice table linens and cloth napkins and nice background music kick it up a notch. It is a pleasant way to spend an evening and the food is exceptional. There is a nice selection of wine by the bottle, too, and since it is a bar as well as a restaurant, one can have a favorite cocktail before dinner or drink afterward. Prices are reasonable for the excellent quality of food. Taking it all into account, the good food and good service and reasonable price, it should be the place to go when one wants to eat out in the area around Crystal Lake.

Stayed a few days and enjoyed great scenery and beautiful stone home. The rooms a very large, comfortable and nicely decorated. Dinner was well prepared and presented and the staff was attentive and accomodating. I don't play, but the adjoining golf course was reported to be terrific.

The food was really yummy and the service was awesome. We had a great time, until a drunken fool started harassing patrons (though we don't hold that against Arlo's)... We would have liked to stay longer but it killed the mood.We will definitely return!

I own a summer home in the general area and have visited "The Beacon" many times over the years. Many folks from "our lake" a patrons, and the fact that we return frequently and have done so for many years say something about what can be expected in this unpretentious establishment. Light fare of dinners are flavorful, generous and reasonably priced. I have visited a few times this summer and have been very pleased each time. I have no doubt that I and members of my extended family will continue to do so.

This place is our halfway point on a frequent trip to our cabin. Always a great stop, with local "entertainment" and good food. There is a wide variety on the menu. Wings on Wednesday, but a pizza/wing special on Sunday was our choice this time. And it was a great choice! Mary suggested Charlie wings, and they were terrific. We'll be stopping here regularly.
