COBS Bread promises to bring you the freshest, highest quality baked goods every day. Each morning our dedicated bakers are up early making bread from scratch for you to enjoy. At the end of the day, all of our leftover bread is given to local charities.
I used to be a fairly faithful customer of Cobs since my last review. After shopping around the area, Cobs is the most crowded and expensive bakery in the Ladner area. Although the quality of what is offered is good and interesting, compared to other bakeries, they are quite expensive. An example is the price of croissants, Cobs sells them for about $ 2.65 a piece while if you go to Tim Hortons it's about a $ 1 less. Bread and buns themselves are of high quality but again it's a bit pricey; a supermarket will sell fresh buns for about 20-30% less. After a while, it does make an impact on your wallet.other reviews point out the friendliness of the staff; and I will agree with that. Sometimes, I find the "friendliness" is a little bit much to the point of being obsequious and can make me feel a bit self conscious especially if they try to strike up a conversation. Personally, for me, I don't really want to have a conversation with someone I don't know and I am just there to perform a purchase. The "conversations" with customers slows up the service and there could be a quite a wait if more than a few people queue up.For certain items, Cobs is the place to go; their pastries are a cut above. For more mundane items, it's better to shop around as you will pay a bit above the odds there. Another note: this is not a gluten free bakery and if you have certain allergies, they cannot guarantee certain allergens won't be in the product.

We just went back after not going there for about 8 months, the fish and chips were excellent, the service this time was very good but for some reason the place was very empty, 6:00 PM Friday night, it should have been full! We took a walk to the other 3 major restaurants in the same mall and they were packed, I really strongly believe this place could be generating so much more traffic and income but management is definitely still not good, the executive should definitely be making changes,,,Thanks for leaving us a review, Bob. We appreciate all your feedback-good and bad- because we will use the information to continue to improve our guestsâ experiences! Hopefully we will have the pleasure of serving you again soon. Sincerely, Guest Relations

I often eat here for a quick lunch. I cannot even drag my wife here for supper, as she completely dislikes the ambience. My lunch is usually a steak salad ... a predictable but good plate of grilled steak with an interesting array of salad components. This time I chose to select their happy hour wings along with their new flour tortilla wrapped anjiones (sp?) and a Shock Top beer. I was enjoying the new flavors, and tried to ignore the array of TVs set up to deliver silent sports commentators and misc sports games. As they were silent, it was easier to deal with.I don't go to sports bars generally. I did not come to Montana's to listen to sports either. My wife will never go with me here, not will she ever take her girlfriends or kids here. She hates the whole macho concept that one has to watch sports 100% of the time. But shortly after my food was served, while I was quietly trying to catch up on newspaper news, a manager came up to the bar server and said, all the screens are going to a basketball match, and the volume is going on loud, and the manager told my server he did not care who commented about the sound. It seemed the game was important to the manager.I looked around to see who in this almost empty restaurant was watching, listening, or paying attention to the sports screens or the game. Virtually no one. Except one 20 something year old sitting by himself seemed to be watching. Was this preplanned on a Sunday night for a sports event. I don't think so.The restaurant of approximately 80 seats has maybe 12 people being served, including myself. The others were mothers with family. The manager is an idiot. Or selfish as perhaps he wanted to watch and listen to the basketball game that now monopolized all the monitors and the entire ambience of this restaurant. As I said earlier, the BBQ food is okay to good, no complaints from me.However, this restaurant is almost always empty.Perhaps it is the complete disconnection of ambience in this place. What they should try out, and perhaps all Montana locations should do this ...Put on a variety of old Western Cowboy flicks, different shows, on different screens.Create a Western Cowboy schtick ... and forget the Sports Screens after 2pm or so.Put on Western videos that also show women, not just men, such as Maureen Ohara as the ex-wife of John Wayne, or similar such women... and create an ambience that women can relate to, as well as the non-Neanderthals of which there are many, that wish to take their finite restaurant spending dollars to a place they can enjoy, and perhaps take their wife to without protest.People really do wish to dine at places where the TV Screens times do not try to take away the male attention by showing off talking heads or scrimmages. The Screens should instead morph into pieces of background art that blend into the mix of ambience, food smells, and associated music.I left half my food on the plate, I left my beer only half empty ... as the noisy change disgusted me. I may never return to this place. Management does not have a clue how to attract clients ... or keep them.Hi Ken, we apologize the noise level of the TV did not allow you to enjoy your dining experience. We were tired after walking through the mall twice. I told my friend that even though the food court wasn't busy, I wanted to sit down in the peace and quiet of a restaurant. I picked Boston Pizza because it is right beside the shuttle stop. The service was quick and friendly, and our lunch swiftly arrived. I don't live near a Boston Pizza so getting a meal from them is a once ayear treat! I really enjoyed my visit! Hi, Lumublu! Thanks for the 5 stars! We hope to see you again soon!
We visited Montanas in Tsawwassen to enjoy their all-you-can-eat ribs promotion. We were seated quickly while we waited for a 4th person to join our party. Our server then took our order which included one beer. It took 10 minutes to receive the beer. Our ribs took about 30 minutes, and they arrived only just warm. The server offered to replace our ribs but we had waited long enough and didn't want to chance having to wait again. The server did apologize but there was no offer to reduce our bill as is often done at restaurants when things go wrong.Bottom line, our visit was not a good one and we are in no hurry to return.

I had an asthma attack during shopping. A&W was the closest place sells coffee as a quick and effective rescue. The female employee offered water after I ordered coffee. The other male employee made fresh coffee and sent to my seat afterwards. He also refused the small tip I gave. I felt very warm and appreciated.

We came for drinks and applies and left full! Nachos, general tao chicken, avocado toast and the dynamite roll are all excellent choices. The social sofa is a great value too.

Pat Quinn's Restaurant & Bar - A classic steak and seafood restaurant in a contemporary west coast setting. Quality comforting fare combining classic favorites and innovative creations, in an atmosphere that's right for every occasion. From an unbeatable
Arrived here for a late lunch with a friend. We stood at the hostess station at the front for quite a while, when finally a waitress barked at us from the bar "SIT ANYWHERE YOU LIKE! " . yeah, thanks. We found a nice table in front of their lovely huge window and hoped that the young man already working that area, who actually said hi to us, would be our waiter. No such luck, unfortunately, the clearly overworked waitress, who was also attending to a large group of drinker in the back section, showed up with menus. She was very short and curt with us, almost acting like she was doing us a favor (I guess she was p.o.'d at having to walk so far from the kitchen to our table..... sorry darling, that's called doing your job)We ordered, me fish and chips, and my companion, the salmon.A couple of weird looking pieces of fried fish and some fries finally arrived...... nothing special, and a far better and cheaper version can be found down the street at the White Spot.My companion's salmon, unfortunately, was a much bigger disaster.Completely overcooked, with some burned veggies strewn about the plate. Is this supposed to be fancy???How can cook working here on the west coast, where salmon is ubiquitous, NOT KNOW HOW TO COOK A PIECE OF SALMON PROPERLY???no excuse for that really, especially in a place that likes to think of itself as a cut above. All the folks in the back getting ploughed seemed to be having a great time. But as far as a destination for dining.......PASS.Good morning,We are disappointed to learn that your experience overall failed to exceed your expectations. We are committed to continually bettering our guests experience. If you would be kind enough to provide us with your contact information to [email protected]. We would like to get the chance to speak with you further.Sincerely,JillPat Quinn's Restaurant & Bar
