Named for Alexandriaâs first female city manager Vola D. Lawson who gave 48 years to public service, this casual seafood restaurant and hideaway bar is located in Old Town and offers the largest dockside dining on the waterfront. Select from All-Day, Brun
So I live in DC, but have a son in DC and a brother in Alexandria. My brother, who knows All the best places to go in his adopted home town, took me to Volaâs, and since my first visit it has become a staple on my DC itinerary. I love it for lunch...sitting outside with oldies music playing. We start with oysters...one of each...and Sangria. For lunch, anything on the menu is great! The service is friendly and professional. Joyous...that is the best way to describe the experience! Thanks so much for the kind words, Lois! We're so happy to be a part of your DC itinerary, and to know that we bring some extra joy to your trips to see family. We'll look forward to your next visit!
See what the Colonel's cooking at your local KFC. Stop in today and enjoy our world famous chicken - it's Finger Lickin' Good!
Went to get some chicken for a late dinner. I was told that I had to wait 5 minutes for the popcorn chicken. I ordered a box with chicken tenders and popcorn chicken and cole slaw and mashed potatoes. After a 30 minute wait they finally brought the food out. I drove home only to find out that what I got was mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, chicken tenders and NOTHING else. I paid for a larger box with popcorn chicken so on top of not even getting that I had a 30 minute wait. AND they were in the restaurant dancing around (I could see from the car). This kind of service is why it does not pay to buy food from a chain restaurant. SAD!
Since our founding in 2004, our goal has been to offer a deeper look at Mexican and Salvadorian gastronomy, with tours that combine food, history and a personal touch. If you are a lover of Mexican and Salvadorian food, you are in for a real treat. Our me
Beef soup seemed quite authentic, though probably better than what you'd find in many Salvadoran villages! Lots of fresh cilantro and served with limes and deliciously buttery-tasting rice. Huge portion for under $11. Every one in the restaurant when I was there looked Salvadoran or Mexican, and the wait staff were professional. Worth the drive off 495 as an alternative to fast food on long trips! The hours listed in this review were incorrect; it is open during normal restaurant business hours.

I visited this Establishment in the Company of my brothers. The decision to visit was made only minutes before. As we arrived and it was our turn we were told it would be 5 minutes to be shown to a table and within minutes the Lady showed us to our Table. The Menu was simple and made it easy to decide. When our Waiter Corey arrived to take orders he took his time to assist with our Order. Our Meal Order arrived in minutes before it did were served Corn Bread with was very delicious and melted in the Mouth. I played safe by having Fish and Chips which came with delicious Coleslaw. My Brothers had Cat fish and Mixed Fish Platter. Our Meal was really delicious and filling. We didn't order Desert as we were all full. This write up is a reflection of the Ratings. I am sure I would visit again soon. One of My Brothers suggested the visit. We're so glad you had a great experience!

Our dueling piano bar comes to life with live music on National Harbor's Fleet Street - only a short stroll from the Gaylord Convention Center & MGM casino. Come clap and sing along to our all request show and see what everyone is talking about. We are th
We were anxious to find something fun to do in the evening and this fit the bill perfectly. We reserved a table in advance (5/pp) & arrived at 7 to order drinks and snacks before the show. PS- I would recommend eating before-hand as the food was not great. Servers were very friendly and accommodating all along the way. Not a big crowd the night we visited but we made up for it in enthusiasm. Very talented piano players & overall musicians who played many of our requests, although it's clear that they have some favorites planned, just in case. Don't miss this show if you're in town!! Joanne, this review is the highlight of my morning (wait, plus the Nats win in OT last night). Thanks a bunch for taking the time to post and being so detailed. We appreciate you!

Modern American and classic dishes, boozy milkshakes, homemade Ted's Tarts, and breakfast served all day!
After visiting a nearby museum, my husband and I were starving, so we popped into this place for a late lunch. They have an extensive menu with numerous options including breakfast all day. They also have a variety of alcohol options as well as a wide variety of alcoholic shakes. I went with a cup of chicken noodle soup and the crab benedict while my husband had the avocado toast. For dessert, we shared the s'mores tart, which is a homemade poptart. All the food tasted great - not 5 star quality, but still quite good. The portions were a perfect size. Prices are great for the DC area. Our waiter, Thomas, did a good job. He kept our water glasses filled and did not take forever to bring the bill.

So I have gotten a little lazy as I have about 50 reviews in the pipeline but our meal tonight lit a fire under me to laud this joint to the stars. We just had a good experience. Great server, check. Interesting well-prepared foods ( Come on lychee nuts) two wonderful pastas and dorado, check. Nice joint, reasonable wine list. Check, check.Seamless and different from anything else we have had in a couple of years. Not exorbitantly expensive, sacre bleu!

Food was good, the server was Dominic, she was very helpful and suggested several items to try as first timers. The chef was also nice he stopped by to say hello and asked if the food was ok. I loved the honey and old Bay wings, the jerk wings were ok but I enjoyed the seafood platter. I would definitely recommend this location and come back again.

Housed in an historic and iconic Old Town, Alexandria, VA storefront with an art-deco feel, The Majestic offers a new and fresh dining experience under the culinary and service direction of Corporate Executive Chef Graham Duncan. Our contemporary bistro-s
Service was exemplary. Food incredible. Four of us had daily Halibut special, different spin of amazing spaghetti dish, hamburger and fries, duck, fried calamari. There is a reason the restaurant has been around for 50+ years. Oh, donât pass up the house made coconut cake. Enough for four to share especially after a wonderful meal.
