Highs: Funnel Fries, QuesadillaLows: WingsWe went here on a Monday night. The atmosphere for a sports bar is terrific with sports jerseys and sports paraphernalia covering the walls. The service was fine but the food was hit and miss. The Monday night free bingo was fun.Based on reviews, we were excited to try their wings. They were disappointing to say the least and consider them not much better than getting frozen wings out of a box at a grocery store. I'd rate them a 3 out of 10 and my wife she would not order them again. We tried the Garlic Hot and the Mango Habanero. Neither were even close to being hot. The honey hot wings were overwhelmed by vinegar. The mango habanero had a nice flavor but was a little overly sweet. The menu states these are âReally Freakin' Hotâ but they almost no heat and were more sweet than anything else! We thought the wings are comparatively small, with all the flavoring was in the sauce coating the wings. The wings were a little soft which made us wonder if they were a tad under cooked. The blue cheese dressing that accompanied the wings was like an average dressing out of a bottle and had not one chunk of blue cheese. Also, they do not serve celery and or carrots with the wings. The large Chicken Fajita Quesadilla was indeed large and was nicely stuffed with chicken and cheese. One of the better restaurant appetizers/starters we've had. The best part of the meal was the Funnel Cake Fries! They were served wonderfully hot and fresh and dusted with powdered sugar. These were the best part of the meal. The Towne Tavern has a nice selection of national brands bottled beer but only six beers/ciders on tap.

Living in downtown Fort Mill we eat here often. Weâve never had a bad meal here and they make theyâre shakes with heavy cream so theyâre always delicious. They finally hit the bullet and installed artificial turf outside so the area looks fantastic and the kids wonât get dirty anymore if they play outside.

I canât figure out why this place gets such rave reviews other than the fact that thereâs no decent Italian in Ft. Mill at all. We drive 20 minutes to Hawthornes while this place is just around the corner. Pizza is very greasy and nothing else on the menu makes we want to come back either. Weâve now been here 3 times hoping it gets better. I think Iâm done with the food but they do have a nice bar with a few good local drafts if you just want to get out for a drink.

First visit. The food was average and service great. I was seated at a dirty table and the server apologized profusely and wiped it down. The hushpuppies were amazing, very crunchy in a good way. The table had different flavored butters for food items. The crab legs were good, but the butter that was served with them was strange. I don't think it was real butter and had some strange gritty sediment at the bottom. The baked potato was a reheated potato that had a tough, withered skin and dry potato inside.Pay as you leave and items are not totaled on the ticket at the table. I strongly prefer the food at Captain Steve's in Fort Mill though the service there isn't as desireable.

The good: our waitress was very nice. The bad: if youâre celiac or gluten intolerant, this is no the place for you.no dedicated fryers. No gf buns. All of the sauces contain wheat. I didnât ask about the seasoning on the meat. I just got a side salad to be safe. My husband has been here 4 or 5 times however itâs been nearly 2 years since his last visit. He said his BBQ sandwich didnât taste as good as it used to taste.

We walked into this casual Southern restaurant, and you wouldn't expect much. But I knew the reviews were wonderful, so we looked forward to our food. And we were not disappointed. Pork Belly appetizer in the perfect seasonal summer prep was delicious and refreshing. Next, I had pork chops, mashed potatoes, carrots with fire grilled peaches. The carrots looked so delicious, that I started there and just wow. Before my husband took a bite of his chicken and waffles I made him try a carrot. It was worth it. The rest of the meal was equally yummy. Already planning to return with friends in the future, and so happy that the menu changes seasonally. Service was wonderful too. Well done.

Located in the Baxter neighborhood in Fort Mill, this restaurant just oozes old Southern charm. The food is delicious and promptly served. We could see into the kitchen where we were sitting and it was immaculate. Very efficiently run and fast, friendly service. I got the wedge salad and a bowl of their spicy gumbo that was out of this world. I had a taste of my aunt's chicken pasta that made me wish I had room to eat a serving of that as well.Would absolutely eat here again!

On 2 large pieces of Texas toast,it was more like a Philly cheese steak than classic French dip,but very tasty without being salty. Do NOT park in front of laundromat that shares parking lot! Iced tea was perfectly brewed &refilled constantly. Waitresses were friendly.

Wonderful atmosphere and a great courteous and friendly staff. Very good compliments as far as things like organic ketchup, premium jellies, salt & pepper with their name on it, but you truly pay for it. Our omeletteâs were pretty much on par with Dennyâs and such but about $3 more and egg whites, a whopping $2 penalty. I can get the same breakfast most anywhere else for $8-10 cheaper (per couple), nothing appealed to me that was worth the extra cost except for the fantastic and friendly staff.
