Anyone trolling for a dining excellence in the Atlanta-Asheville-Charlotte corridors that eclipses the Fortify experience will be challenged to top Fortify. Tall words? Yes. And earned.

Ate here with relatives. The BBQ, available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday was outstanding! I also enjoyed the sides of Brunswick Stew and fried okra. Prices were low in comparison to the quality and quantity of the food. Order and pay at the counter located to the left of the entrance and servers will deliver it to your table. You will serve yourself for the drink of choice. No outdoor seating. While there you must browse the isles of locally produced products. I bought pickled okra and Deer-in-the-Headlights hot sauce. One taste and you'll realize how it got the name!

We had a group of 4 adults and 2 babies, ate breakfast here twice, so we tried many different things on the menu. Yummy Greek omelet, banana bread french toast, two kinds of pancakes, delicious homemade biscuits, oatmeal, plus the usual various types of eggs, hash browns, sausage gravy, etc. The hash browns were unimpressive but everything else was very good. Unless you have a large appetite, order just 2 pancakes because they are plate-size and no one finished 3.

We are a family friendly BBQ restaurant open on Friday and Saturday evenings. We are also proud members of the BBQ trail. Call us for catering information. We look forward to seeing you at Brasstown Creek Gathering Place soon.
I have had all the food on the menu and I can tell you it is all EXCELLENT. Friendly staff, beautiful location with a creek for the kids, also outside tables and beautiful gardens. The pork is so moist. I have had pork sandwiches from all over and this is by far the best. It is so moist it almost melts in your mouth. My husband LOVES the Brunswick stew. I am picky about my BBQ so to give it and EXCELLENT is a lot for me. I highly recommend it you won't be disappointed.

If you are traveling on 441 to of from your destination this little place is well worth the detour. Only a couple of miles off the 4 lane you will come to the cozy town of Lakemont Ga and Annies is a must stop. Great fresh homemade food, desserts, Ice Cream, pies, beer and wine, craft soft drinks they even have Kimbucha on tap. If you are lucky they will still have the Egg salad sandwich available. Its amazing!! Plenty of outdoor and seating and they don't mind if you sit and stay a while.

Delicious gourmet food! Sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts, beer/wine as well as gifts. Located in an historic building in quaint Lakemont Village on the border of Lake Rabun.
WONDERFUL operation --part of a country store. Offers lunch every day and dinner some nights. Food is in the best tradition of "home made"---they even have a freezer stocked with casseroles and other items for those wanting to take a prepared entree or side dish home and bake it. Small number of tables inside---but seating is also available on the front porch and picnic tables on the side porch. Lakemont is just north of Tallulah Gorge. Very highly recommended.

Real southern hickory smoked BBQ and the only restaurant with a view of Talullah Gorge while you eat. So if you are looking for REAL southern BBQ and fresh local produce, we are the place. We have indoor and outdoor covered dining. If you have a non meat
We didn't even stay. After seeing the filthiness and condition of the tables (dirt and spider webs), grimy staff clothing, sticky condiment bottles (with gnats stuck to the sauce), and the pots (crusted over the edges from lack of cleaning) and floor of part of the kitchen, we left. Disgusting. No option for negative stars.

Experience casual fine dining by a lake in the mountains in the Lake Rabun Hotel's award winning restaurant. In winter enjoy the old stone fireplace for a glass of wine before dinner. In warm weather dine on one of the decks under the stars, pines and hem
Our group of old friends from elsewhere and nearby assembled for a last supper before the aging group relocated . We were blessed by a quiet table, excellent wine and service, and average food.I am so glad that you and your friends chose our historic inn as a gathering place for your last supper together and that you enjoyed the ambiance, wine, and service. However, I am disappointed that you found our food "average". I would love to speak with you at your earliest convenience to gain a better understanding of what we could do better to serve you. Family oriented restaurant that uses fresh products for our food.
Located in the town of Tallulah Falls right on Hwy 23/441.After a morning hike along the many trails of Tallulah Falls/Gorge we walked to the Frozen Palm Tree. (We were camping at Tallulah Falls State Park). The owners are from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl and us being from St Pete Beach, Fl we had a lot in common. The atmosphere was awesome. I had the Johnnie Cakes with gravy and hubby had 2 eggs, bacon, Johnnie Cakes and homes fries. We were stuffed so our walk back to the campsite was good. You must try The Frozen Palm Tree. A lot more on the menu we want to go back and try. Husband and wife owned !!!Thank you so much for the glowing review! We truly enjoyed having you visit with us and hope to see you again soon!!Cat

Casual fine dining in an historic country setting
We had visions of retiring to the north Georgia mountains, aided and abetted by our multiple outstanding R&R weekends at Glen Ella (GE)â¦and nowâ¦here we are!... Happily residing near enough to maintain our relationship with GE via regular Saturday night dinners. The hideaway/getaway atmosphere, friendliness, courtesies â and signature cuisine â are as constant and consistent as when we first came upon GE many years ago. My wife usually alternates between the salmon and lamb (and yes, those awards and recognitions for the lamb are immensely deserved). I usually opt for the crab cakes appetizer (superb) and macadamia chicken (grilled presentation, all sides on the side). Chicken may not light your culinary fire but for me the humble clucker is delicious â perfect texture and temperature. We know this sounds so, so triteâ¦but each time we dine at GE is like the first time. Even in the midst of summer bookings, with all kinds of activities in and around the Inn, there remains an ambiance that makes you feel like a dinner for two is YOUR private, special occasion. Truly a GEM in north Georgia.
