The indoor portion of The Grid reminded me of a dive bar, but the outside deck was pleasant and uncrowded on a mid-week day at lunch time. We had 2 small children with us and didn't want to hang out in a dive bar! I had the sliders, and others had burgers, chicken wings and other sandwiches and we were all pleased with our selections.
Good food nicely prepared and reasonable pricing for a tourist area. Seating limited, menu limited but, what they do they do well. Coffee selections not as varied as some coffee shops.

We stopped for lunch enroute to elsewhere, and glad we did. Excellent, varied choices on the lunch menu. We had really good crab sandwich and coconut shrimp. On nice days (this was) the patio has a superb view overlooking Lake Tahoe.

A great little diner along the highway and the edge of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Also across the street from Sierra Boat Company that occupies a beautiful section of Lake Tahoe. The Old Post Office is one of the great American diners, with great food and great service.

Creative American Dining in an Elegant Log Cabin, open since 1985 by chef/owner Charlie Soule and brother Steve
Romantic...absolutely! Delicious French cuisine...hands down!I had eaten here only once with a girl friend, now I wanted my husband to experience & they did not disappoint. Situated in an old log house, this charming restaurant is a treat. My husband had the fabulous, melt in your mouth Duck Breast roasted with orange, raspberry & Gran Mariner. Our friend had the perfect Alaskan Ling Cod and I had the yummy jumbo Sea Scallops that weâre seared to perfection. As in France, the sauces were light & absolutely delicious. Too full for dessert, but they sounded wonderful. Excellent wine list and the service fabulous. Everyone working there were friendly, helpful & professional.Truly a wonderful dining experience.

Everyone should know about âJasonâsâ. We just finished a morning kayak rental experience at âAdriftâ (next door). I ALWAYS choose restaurant options based on research. I was caught unprepared when my wife and I started to think about lunch. âJasonâsâ was right there though I was reluctant since I knew NOTHING about the place. What a wonderful surprise! The service and food was outstanding! I had the blackened salmon sandwich. Delicious! We had other lunch meals at pricier restaurants in the days before. None held a candle to Jasonâs!

A quaint, casual family owned restaurant with a lake view that serves high-quality Midwest beef in rewarding portions. The warm, cozy atmosphere with wooden tabletops and booths is welcoming for all occasions, and a traditional steakhouse menu that provid
We stopped for dinner upon recommendations of the lodge we stayed in. Nice deco, attentive staff and very good steak. I had the Ribeye steak which I enjoyed a lot, came with garlic mash potatoes. I would eat here again although it's slightly over priced.

We had a lovely evening meal. The waiter was helpful explaining nuances in food preparation and the owner gave a wonderful wine suggestion suggestion to compliment the meal of fresh wild caught Pacific Seabass and Brick Chicken.

Cottonwood provides rustic elegance in a historic setting and has been a fixture of Truckee's vibrant dining scene for 30 years. Housed in a historical ski lodge constructed in 1928 to serve as a warming hut for the town of Truckee's ski and toboggan hill
Dined at Cottonwood Restaurant on June 20, 2019. It was for dinner and my comments/ratings are as follows:1. Although drinks/cocktails are served from the same bar, we were told that they will only serve happy hour drinks if we are seated indoors. Due to the warm weather, we opted to seat outdoors.2. Ordered Crab Cakes, Meatballs and Green Salad for starters. The Crab Cakes did not have much crabs (mostly fillers), Meatballs also did not have much meat in it (also mostly fillers) and the Salad was wilted and over-dressed.3. Next we ordered Chicken Wings but the ready made Chicken Wings from Costco is so much more tastier and better than what they serve.4. Cost of a glass of mediocre white wine is $12.00.Everything they have on the menu are overpriced and didnât satisfy any of us. If you are in Truckee and looking for a good restaurant, donât even consider Cottonwood Restaurant. It was a big disappointment. I give it 1-star out of 5-star. The only thing good about the restaurant is the location with a view.We are disappointed that we did not provide a satisfactory experience for you, Virgilio. On your first point, our happy hour is a promotion for the bar only. However, there is outdoor seating off the end of the bar that we refer to as Area 51. It's not as grand as eating on the main deck that was voted best outdoor dining in North Tahoe by the 2019 readers of Tahoe Quarterly, but the locals like to hang out there. I'm surprised at your comments on the crab cakes and meatballs. When the crab cakes rolled out last week, they were in high demand, even from our staff, who eat well. We will check our process for consistency. And the meatballs are house made from trimmings off the house cut steaks. On the wines, we willingly provide a tasting before purchase to ensure it meets the customers' satisfaction. As of today, our last three reviews on Google were 5-stars, but since we did not satisfy your group, we will try harder.
