Never been to Sylacauga before and had no idea what was around other than fast food. Found this little gem tucked in an alley. The atmosphere was great...old wooden timbers, fire place, outside seating...very quaint. The food was good too. Glad we found a place to eat that had real food and not just fast food.

You know, its great that Hardee's offers Mexican items now. However, I ordered the nachos only to find out that I would be throwing them away. The chips were drowned in toppings making them completely inedible. Couldn't even pick them up. Too soggy! Yuck!

My husband's swears that NC has the best BarBQue, I argue that SC has the best...this place was such a surprise. This gas station does more than pump gas. It actually smokes its BarBQue the good old fashioned way. We always stop and get carry out to take home.They did change their fries..skip them.Don't miss this place!!!

We actually ate at this Arby's twice while visiting Sylacauga for a soccer tournament. We had quick service and the food was fresh.

Drove by and saw a full parking lot Sun afternoon and decided to stop for a late lunch. Great menu options and enjoyed chatting with the staff and getting to meet the owner too. We had a hard time narrowing down our choices but settled on the chicken salad sampler (choose from 4 different styles of chicken salad) followed by French onion soup and the broccoli cheese soup. Also enjoyed the twice baked potato, green beans and Mac and cheese, plus strawberry shortcake for dessert!

We come here probably once a month for breakfast and love the girls that work here. They all work together to take care of everyone. They always keep you drink filled to the rim! And they now have the Prime Rib Tips. Yum. They are so good. We both had the prime rib tips omelette, mine with cheese grits and his with hash browns. They came out quick and were so good. This place does an awesome job. If you are in the area you should defiantly give it a try.

Parking is adequate. Lighting outside is poor. The property is old but clean. The service was good. All were helpful. The food was decent but not outstanding. The sandwich was salty. The wings were ok but not terrific. Sauces were just so so. Service was quick. Take phone orders so you can really speed it up. For what you get there is value.Again the help was good. Would return

While visiting we kept looking for some original BBQ Ribs Brisket chicken. We passed a number of places that advertised authentic Alabama BBQ but we never saw any smoker going at those places. August's had it going every day we found out they start at 5:30 am every morning. They have Ribs chicken every day Thursday and Friday also have Brisket. They have steaks on Saturday only but you need to pre-order. They also do ham's turkey and the cook we complemented was impressed that we took the time We also met the owner who appreciated the comments. August's were open regularly which couldn't be said for some of the other places. Great place to eat service was excellent

Iâve visited Buttermilk Hill twice in the past month. First, it was for lunch with a group of friends on a Friday during Sylacaugaâs Marble Festival. The eight of us tried different entrees and a couple of desserts and all were outstanding. We especially loved the bread pudding! My second trip was in early May with 29 of my classmates from Goodwater High School. The restaurant opened especially for us on a Saturday morning so we could celebrate our turning 75 this year. Everyone had a wonderful time and our reunion was enhanced by the delicious food which we were served. We appreciated their willingness to accommodate us at a time when they are normally closed.
