We dropped in for dinner after an evening of house-hunting. This place was packed with locals - that doesn't happen if the quality isn't good. They had a refrigerated case of pies when we walked in (more about that later!)We were seated, and got to work on the menu. Make sure you look at the daily specials - they can be pretty good.I had their grilled chicken (BBQ style) and my wife had their Chicken and Biscuits. Both were served hot, and tasted great. She started with their navy bean soup, which was also tasty (never thought I'd use Navy Bean and Tasty in the same sentence). We wrapped it up with two pieces of pie - Pecan, which was loaded with pecans, and Lemon Meringue, which tasted great. All in all, a nice place to stop for dinner. If you hit during the peak and they are slammed, take a table or choose to wait for a booth.

I was a bit leery about spending 4.95 a pound for turkey, but this was absolutely the best Thanksgiving bird I've ever made. The family agreed so even though it is pricy, I will buy one again next year. Staff was so helpful on suggestions for cooking. Great place.

Known as "King of the Gyros" and available for dine in, carry out, drive thru, or ALL DAY DELIVERY, Tom & Jerry's has been serving up great eats in DeKalb county for over 30 years! Homemade Italian Beef Sandwiches, All Beef Chicago Red Hot Dogs, Homemade
From the first look at the building, my expectations weren't overly ambitious. Good thing we didn't stop there! For the price, you can't do much better than Tom and Jerry's. The Italian beef was unbelievable, and you can get it topped with cheese for a small charge. The Cajun chicken was really good as well.

As always we had a good meal . The meat was perfect tasty and cook right. The salad was crisp and the rolls hot. As the place fills up it does get hard to hear. But that wouldn't stop us from returning.

After I discovered the Rutherford omelet, I have been able to order anything else. Goat cheese, carmelized onions and spinach. Amazing! They also have their own homemade strawberry jam and hand-squeezed OJ. Plus wonderful staff. A place to linger over coffee with friends, but very crowded on weekend mornings.

My wife and I stopped for an early Friday night supper and everything looked encouraging. Great old building that was tastefully renovated, well thought out menu, and friendly waitress. What could go wrong? We should have left before the appetizer The onion rings were floating in a sea of grease. They could have and should have been drained. A couple of napkins on the bottom of the basket would have helped. The oriental salad was very good, actually the best part of the meal. We shared the fish platter for supper. All of the fish was deep fat fried. The chef must have been sleeping in the kitchen or on a smoke break. Both the cod and walleye were over cooked. The catfish was ok. Like the onion rings, the fish also was greasy. Who was minding the store? I would like to give PJâs a second try, but I donât believe my is up to it. Very Unfortunate.

We as a family went to the Cafe on a Saturday morning around 10 am. The parking was full and I thought we may have to wait to get a table or for food. I was nicely surprised that we got seated right away and the waitress was very attentive. After ordering our food, the food came pretty fast. The skillet is very good and the portion is very big (may not be a good thing if you are watching your weight).

Forge Brewhouse Craft Beer, Dekalb County Spirits, Handcrafted Food located downtown Sycamore, Illinois
Visited for the first time at new Sycamore location. Place looks great. They now have Prairie State wine as opposed to only offering beer. There were 4 of us and we split 2 margherita pizzas. Margherita pizza should not have tomato sauce. There was absolutely no flavor to this pizza. We asked for crispier crust. The edges were burnt, the middle was soft. No matter how much parmesan we put on it, still didn't have much taste. The atmosphere is great though and server was friendly. The place was very warm, not sure if their a/c wasn't working, but it was uncomfortably warm. It is amazing what they have done to the place. Unrecognizable from the dollar store and the old Kaiser King store. The restrooms are really nice, everything was clean. I will order a different pizza next time.

Trio arrived about 12:45 for lunch. Seated immediately an charming back room. Very attentive and hustling waitress who was able to both describe and give recommendations. Ladies drank water with lemon while I chose a cabâ from a red wine list with glasses about $7-13 mostly although several bottles looked intriguing if a bit more expensive. We opened with bruschetta and toasted points, very good. Two salads: duck confit and blue cheese with pasta, chicken and fruit. I had Natâs BLT which had a most flavorful cheese added on chibatti bread and sweet potato fries. All was delicious, but such large amounts. Bill with tip around $70.00. We were here two years ago and will always stop by when traveling through.
