Had a great time eating dinner with good friends and had lovely service at the bar. A shout out to Eric the bartender. Very personable and great knowledge of food and drinks. Food was excellent. Highly recommended. Get there early as it is busy.

We had planned to have lunch here, until we climbed up the stairs, and took a look; very few tables, even fewer chairs, trash on the floor, screaming children, long line to order, and overpriced food. Since we were a large group, we would have had to eat, sitting on the benches by the bathrooms, balancing the food on our knees. We were not that hungry! The Gift Shop is tidy, and staff very nice. Bought some postcards, which supposedly were 59 cents (that is what the sign said), yet some cost 75 cents, and one cost $1.00.

Melancholic, Dilapidated, Unclean, and Horrifically Over Priced Hotel/InnThe wear and tear, filth, tattered rugs, the bathroom floor dirty, baseboards, heater and door were covered with filth. It was so dusty we were sneezing and coughing. There is no Air Conditioning but with windows open and box fan we were able to tolerate the night. We paid over 400 dollars for the night and could have stayed at many of the great 4-5 star hotels in San Francisco for less. It was so bad that even my husband slept in his clothes on top of the duvet. We got up at 5 am and just left. This Inn has location which is great for Muir Woods and hiking. It has the views which are so beautiful. It could be so special in this great location but unfortunately its not. Paint, Flooring, Soap and a little scrubbing could do so much for it. Neglect and lack of care by employees or owners is evident. Parking is a problem only 6 spots for the restaurant and registers guest. I love hiking, SFO, and this area so much I really wanted this place to be good so I could return for another stay when hiking in Muir. There are other Hotels and Inns nearby that are nice with a much lower price point. Believe the reviews, I didn't and it was a mistake.

Our first time and we loved it.Casual atmosphere but hip and fun inside.Noisy in a good way, very alive.Fun special drinks. The food was super creative and oh just so delicious. We had oysters and they were great. Then the burrata with persimmon amd chimmichuri. Amazing. I had the kicking chicken and it was mouth watering. My wife had the steak Frite and holy cow we have never had a piece of meat like that. Wonderful service and overall a great place to eat.

I ate here recently with my Ron and grandson. We all had a great breakfast. From Hye is rancheros to my breakfast sandwich, the chevron. Good service great food, would come back
We stopped in at the Surfer's Grill after we decided to to drive to Stinson Beach on a whim. My wife had the fish and chips with the homemade tarter sauce. She absolutely loved it. The batter was perfect and the tarter sauce (did I mention it was homemade?!) was out of this world. Unfortunately for me, I decided to have the chicken nuggets. These were pre-made and nothing better than you would get as a kid's meal at McDonalds. If I had read a forum post before I had gone there, I would have known to get a burger or the fish & chips. Oh well.Definitely try this place out if you are wanting a casual lunch while visiting Stinson Beach. Leave the chicken nuggets for the kids, and get the fish & chips. You will be glad you did.

On our beach visit we stopped and got sandwiches to take down with us. This is a cozy little nook location with a friendly staff and atmosphere. The sandwiches were good and and they were a nice size. Very filling and you can't argue with a place that puts out water for dogs. Just information you cannot eat at the restaurant there are a couple of tables outside but that's it. Overall B+

We really only had 2 choices at Stinson Beach and we made the right choice! Nice sunny out door deck. Advertised huge mussels which got us in the door. I wouldnât have called them huge but the broth was very good for soaking up the bread. They didnât offer much bread but it was fresh out and of the oven and the server brought more when asked. My fish and chips were done nicely in beer batter and the fish fresh.

We hiked to Stinson beach from Muir Woods and were very hungry. Found this place by the beach. The food was hot and well made. The service was great! It also has wi-fi which is a great plus as there is no phone connection in the region.

Amazing coffee and pastries in the morning both sweet and savory. I highly recommend. There is a park nearby where you can sit and eat there also a few tables out front where you can sit. No gluten free options.
